Awesome stuff.

So, I have a question...why is Harry's sword green?

And, I am loving how Raimi made Venom quite a bit of a monstrosity, lol...when his eyes open all big once his head comes up, that looks pretty dang scary.

In one trailer, it shows Sandman being huge, but all sandy, so how does he get big and more bulky now than more sandy-ish?

Okay that guy has officially conned lots of people for the last hour- but, after the Cassidy thing... I had my suspicions.

So, I have a question...why is Harry's sword green?

Apparently it's capable of releasing some mystery energy, undoubtedly so he scalds and slices Peter at the same time. The sword seems to be a killing blow, so if it has extra oomph from the retractable bladed gauntlet it's not surprising- he's out to kill.

He's drawing from all the dirt, gravel, sand and debris in the construction site. The original form is just him expanding himself.

Or...could he have mixed the metal with the serum?

I have to say I got chills when Harry screamed "SHUTUP!" after Peter says his father killed himself. He doesn't care about talking anymore, he just wants to get his revenge on Peter and that's it.:bomb:

I love that too, and then he tears out a chunk of the wall! I was thinking though, I originally found it strange in the trailers that he would call Peter "Pete", which is something a friend would say to him - "You knew this was coming Pete", (you think if he was angry and insane enough to kill him now that he would call him Peter, a more distanced name).

But now that Peter tries to explain that Norman killed himself, it's almost as if Harry doesn't want to recognize the truth, and has made up his mind to kill Peter no matter what - "Shut up!". I kind of see this line, and the fact he used "Pete" a sign that he hasn't been completley consumed by the Goblin even if he took the serum. I still think Harry is underneath all of that rage and confusion. Maybe I'm reading into the sit. too much, but it's interesting to think about.

I was wondering what was up with his sword too in another thread earlier today, and it looks like it's some kind of energy overtop of the actual blade (if you watch a few seconds later as he's swinging the thing like mad and before he plunges it downwards, you can see it's not a lightsaber or something, but a charged up blade. I think the green energy stuff is there to make reference to the Green Goblin heritage, just like the green on his suit).

Maybe the Eddie going to a nuthouse thing can be an alternate ending on the DVD that would be great!!

Ok 2 things
1 Women are the downfall of superheros and spidey is no different. Ill bet vital parts of my anatomy that peter was so distracted while riding his moped because he was thinking of MJ that we are lucky a freaking semi truck didn't kill spidey. Its no wonder his spidey sense didn't go off.

2. When did harry join the Jedi Ranks and get a Light Saber????

When did Harry become Night Surfer. This is a totally new character and has nothing to do with a goblin. For that reason alone...this costume works and is cool...as long as they don't call him ____ Goblin. Harry works for me.

If the movie actually ended with Eddie being thrown into a cell with Kassady, I would be almost forgive the tons of stupid trash that has made it into these movies.

No Carnage please...ever. There are a lot more deserving villians to be used than the red rehash that is Carnage.

:whatever: After seeing that sorry excuse for a 7 minute clip, all I can say is this...

MIGHT BE THE FIRST BEST COMIC BOOK MOVIE TRILOGY OF ALL TIME!!!:wow:

There is a guy over at imdb claiming to have seen some sort of screening, I don't know what to think of the guy... but, after that whole dismissal of the guy months ago who gave a uncanny plot description that we earlier dismissed you can never know-

Don't know where else to put this, know a lot is coming into this forum. Believe him, don't believe him. According to him he has "proof" that has yet to surface-

link
Never trust the nuts at IMDB.

New Goblin is named in the official site, and Avi Arad said 'just Harry'. Besides, the filmmakers saying 'it has nothing to do with the Green Goblin' is bull*****, what do they know? The original comic book story say he is the Green Goblin II. I don't know about you, but I guide from the comics, and so far they've adapted everything right. But IT DOES HAVE TO DO WITH THE GOBLIN, not in the movie, but it does in the comics.

D!

No, they haven't adapted everything right.

Not that they need to, and for adaptations sake, they shouldn't.
Storywise though, there has been a lot that has been altered....and with Sandman being Ben's supposed killer, that would change the canon even more.

I know my comics thank you. I was talking about the movie. I know they named him New Goblin but wtf does that mean? He's not a goblin. I agree with Arad and I also just call him Harry...which works for me. This is the only character Raimi has strayed way far in terms of costume design and application for the movies.

Which is what shocked a lot of people on here. I don't agree with it but as with Harry's costume...it will work for the movie. Wish it were different but the movie will still be great.

Not sure if I've stated this ever before, but New Goblin is the most unimaginative name in the history of history.

Just call him Harry. Even THAT'S more creative.

I hope venom escapes and lives for another movie one with just him in it.
Carnage should be saved until all the other villans have been used.

Spiderman will live on for more than a trilogy

I'm curious to see if they've changed the ending, and what will happen to Brock (live or die), if death, how will they kill him?

No way Venom dies in the end without leaving a spawn. He'll live on somehow. I wonder if Cletus will make a cameo?

ALL INFORMATION REGARDING THAT WILL BE POSTED IN THIS- (since I don't know where to put all this, bewarned- if this guy is legitimate it's very spoilery):
It arrives in crystallized form from the moon after Jamesons son digs it out of a meteor, he thinks he'll be able to win back MJ with this crystal it then turns to goop when it hits earths air(I think that's what i assumed, it turned to goo when it came out of the shuttle)

yeah it's alive there's even a cool scene where your seeing spiderman through the symbiotes eyes

It kind of slithers around looking for a proper host and then sees spidey fighting some banks robbers and then attaches it self to spideys foot and turns red

yeah, Doc connors seems a little obsessed with his arm cause Peter goes to visit him and he looks like a junkie in side of his lab all strung out and sweaty

sandman overloads himself in a blind rage after venom hurts his daughter @ a construction sight he be becomes like 50 feet tall gives a good pounding to venom/ spidey and then collapses into a heap turns back normal for a minute to say goodbye to his daughter, sorry stuff like that and dies

I don't know what to think right now. Isn't there a report somewhere that Sandman lives? Don't know which is accurate- but, the bold part sounds very "Raimi" (remember Ock tentacle scene in SM2)

I'll rate it a 10 for the last 15 mins and a 9 for the rest. I still think that 2 was better only because i liked the losing everything then getting it back again deal. this one was just more like a drug addict/breaking the addiction movie (complete with the seeing one's reflection right before dealing the killing blow scene) with the drug of course being the symbiote(it's funny because the word symbiote is never said)

Also this has got to be one of the most covert screenings I've ever heard of:

i live in York PA and i bought a ticket for Wild Hogs @ and a Sony rep came out and said that we're being shown a big new Sony film and thatWild Hogs would play afterwards but if it would be too late then Regal would give us passes to come back. Then they told us it was spider-man 3 and of course the theatre went nuts. They handed us these little questionaires @ the end with questions like "If you could shorten/lengthen and scene(s) what would it(they) be?, stuff like that. So before I say anything i know i'm gonna have to prove it to you guys so luckily I was able to get some video on my phone of the sony rep and about the first 2 mins. of the film. I have no idea how to put this on the web, so help me out.

Um, I don't know- this next part has me seriously doubtful. Sure Raimi loves his fans, but I doubt he would ever be this kind to us:

I think it'll narrowly avoid an R, but if it gets a directors cut it'll have to be R or unrated. Simply for the havoc venom unleashes, it gets a bit bloody. And no venom/eddie doesn't die the symbiote detaches (mostly) and disappears which leads to Eddie getting carted of to the nut house and being put in a cell next to Cletus Cassidy

Seems to much like a fan's "wet dream" scenario of how everything would go down... and we've got another source saying differently somewhere else on the net- sounding more like just another "faker" after this comment.

:wow: :wow: If this is true, Vis is gonna have a field day! I'll take this with a grain of salt but I'm hoping most of this happens, sounds too awesome to be true though.

What I loved so much about this here clip was that it showed us that this really is a TRUE (superhero) trilogy!!!

Movies like "Indiana Jones" are NOT a real trilogy, even though many seems to claim this. "The Godfather" is not either! It's become so damn fancy to say "trilogy" these days, but many dont even know what a REAL trilogy consists of...
So what is a REAL trilogy anyway? Let me point some out; "Back to the Future", "Matrix", "Lord of the Rings", "Star Wars"... These Movie-trilogies all have ONE THING in commen; it's ALL about going back to the beginning! Which is why Sam Raimi says, and I quote "Spider-Man 3 is a continuation of the story of Peter Parker". The key word is CONTINUATION! "Indiana Jones" for example doesn't have that, cause they jump BACK and FORTH in those films, and ultimately they have exactly squad to do with each other! (dont get me wrong, I love them though!)

Everything in that extended clip was just so WONDERFULLY recognizable!:)... It was "SPIDER-MAN 3", no question about it! Even though the action was 10 times more badass then in the previous films (that Pete vs. Harry fight beats the train-battle in spidey 2 all by it self!)... The action was the coolest ever, and that's just a good thing. But had the clip had a totally different "feel" then the other ones, it wouldn't have been the same. Stuff like that is the beginning of messing up a franchise that was super to begin with... I mean the romance, the music, the thrilling energy, the warmth (I'm talking about the Aunt May scene here lol!), it was all so perfect!!! Now that I've seen that that's in place there's a lot they need to do to screw it up when I see the whole thing (at least for me). They haven't forgotten where they're coming from, yet they're moving on with a darker story, a lot more serious ellements going on, not to mention a DAMN more complex story! This is all SO good! It really is a real superhero trilogy!

If this film ends up beeing half as classy and badass as this clip makes it look like, "SPIDER-MAN 3" will definitly take the world by storm!.........A "SAND-STORM"!!!;)

^ I'd prefer Brock not to die...

Hey guys, haven't seen the 7min.+ clip yet, I was wondering if there's a compressed downloadable version of it because a 200+ MB file would just take me half a day to d/l. Pretty please?

:wow: :wow: If this is true, Vis is gonna have a field day! I'll take this with a grain of salt but I'm hoping most of this happens, sounds too awesome to be true though.
Ok.... THAT sounds badass!!!... He says he's got PROOF that he's seen it: I'll believe all this if the PROOF ever makes it on-line. Where did you get this???? Link?

Come to think of it, this was a test-screener for surden people... Would they let ANY ONE have a camera mobile on them for this one!... I DON'T think so.
