I was so disppointed by the gap of time after issue six of Guilty Pleasures that I went out and bought the book. The comic was so good I didn't want to wait for the rest of the issues to find out what happens. I wasn't disappointed in the book, it was great. I've read four of the Anita books now and loved them. Jean Claude is the bestest. :D

I hope Ultimatum is good, it is supposed to really shake things up across the whole Ultimate line after all. I just hope it doesn't ruin everything instead.

Hey it could happen. First there was House of Meh and then Civil War. :(

"A fan asked about whose hand it is in the Ultimatum teaser, and in a surprising bit of candor, Loeb revealed that it was Magneto's"

You were saying?
and you would actually believe that? I mean come on they havent revealed much of anything about Ultimatum and than suddenly Loeb just up and reveals the mastermind behind the whole thing the first time hes' asked? Im still calling bs for now, that arm just doesnt look like Magneto's.

I'm loving everything! I still haven't gotten issue 91, whats up with that one?

I REALLY hope Larocca redesigns the costumes once the new writer comes aboard. Its bothered me that they've been wearing the same thing for close to 100 issues. Besides Wolverine and Storm who's had like 4 costumes, everyone else is still wearing their original gear and its long been time for a change

Yeah, and we should have an issue where they all go shopping, and Storm and Jean can teach everyone about current fashion styles and how their uniforms should all match current fashion styles - utility doesn't matter. More fashion! New costumes every three issues!

I hate to say this, but Kirkman might actually lead on a good note, assuming the rest of this issue and the next issue don't outright suck. I've been saying that the entire time, so hopefully my continuing to say that will mean the issues will be good. Not great, but good, at least.

My only worry is that him trying to end the total Mongolian cluster**** that has been his run is going to end in ruin on basis that the run has been a total Mongolian cluster****. Redundancy has been used there purposefully, by the way.

I'd say that's a little too much talking in the middle of the battle, though. And Cyclops seems to have forgotten about Xavier's stupid and meaningless confession of love for Jean. I haven't. I still think that **** sucked.

Maybe they ran out of laundry soap. :p

Hey guys!

Just wondering if any of you can tell me if there's going to be an "Ultimate X-Men; Ultimate Collection Volume 3?

I'm going to go buy 1 & 2 from Forbidden Planet next week and was unsure whether to pick up the ultimate War volume or wait for the next Collection book...

I work in a comic book store and i have yet to see volume 3 solicited but there was a large gab between the first and second volume. Thus I would guess that yeah volume 3 is on the way, but I don't have any real proof of it.

My guess is that they were all in shock that Xavier was alive, so Scott didn't have the luxury to consider Xavier's feelings for Jean.

I don't think it would be like

Scott:"Professor Xavier, you're alive!"

Prof:"Yes, I..."

Scott:"Wait, didn't you profess you had feelings for Jean before you 'died', what? You think I'm going to forget about all of it? And don't think that armor will protect you, it won't"

Prof: "No, wait..."

-Woosh

Scott:"Good, now he's definitely dead."

Yes, but you'd think that Cyclops, who is not an idiot savant nor an absent-minded professor, would at least think of it - in which case, his dialogue would be terse, a little more wary, and what not.

Not, "Oh, you're alive, well, hohum, ladeeda, let's do our thing, shall we?"

i somewhat agree that his tone could have been a bit better but i think it was more of a lets focus on the major matter at hand and have to time discuss things like that when/if we win type of deal....(hope that made sense)

Kirkman seems to be that type who focuses on his story rather than puts his efforts in writing the accurate reaction of each and every character imo.

Yeah, so let's just put it this way: Kirkman doesn't know what he's doing now, and didn't know what he was doing as early as getting hired for the title.

That much is evident, at least.

So Wolverine only has claws on one hand NOW????

I mean how long till this is rectonned....

And a couple people are behaving like it wasn't obvious since Ultimates 3 began that Magneto would be the villian in Ultimatum... I mean - he has always sort of been there in the Ultimate universe, and he was a major villian in X-Men and now he is in Spiderman... I mean, I don't think this by any means makes him the "mastermind" but there is no way in Hell the Ultimates are gonna tear him or the brother hoods arms off and punch off the top of their heads off, or run them until their molecules basically come apart, stab some huge blades through their chests, etc.

I mean it's not gonna all be wrapped up by the end and Ultimates are expected to have another character murdered in the final issue... everything in Ultimate universe has been leading to this.

Wolverine only has claws on one hand because he's currently missing an arm.

In other news, this issue added more meaningless crap and doesn't stand any real chance of tying up all the loose thread ends by the end of next issue. And it continues to suffer from Kirkmanisms, which I assume just didn't annoy me as of the first issue of the arc because I'd been away from the title for so long. Now, however, annoyance.

Kind of sad, too. What a missed opportunity for debuting Ultimate Apocalypse and Cable. And Bishop. And Domino. And Stryfe. And Onslaught. Am I forgetting any?

The funny thing is, Cable time-traveled back to the present in order to stop Apocalypse, but he just stood there telling people about his exposition of fighting Apocalypse while other people were fighting him in the background.

...well how exactly did Cable (Wolverine) come to only have ONE set of claws in the future..

Who really cares anymore....

So Stryfe, they let him live in the past, but he doesn't appear to have ANY correlation to the future version of himself which is just Cable... I'm confused on why they even let him live then... and apparently Wolverine doesn't even feel a little bad about killing Bishop.... when it turns out he was a good guy.

NOTHING is answered here, I can't understand this crap and NEXT arc Im sure they'll just never mention this crap again -- no White Queen turning bad, no Xavier in love with Jean, no how did Wolverine lose his claws on one arm and healing powers-- so many lose ends will be left and just forgotten.

Okay, wait. When did White Queen turn evil? Mind you, I haven't been reading. And when did Emma Frost start going as White Queen?

And... are you actually reading, or just going on online information? Why does Cable have one set of claws? Because his other arm was ripped off and has been replaced by a cybernetic arm. Why does he have scars across his face? Because whoever ripped his other arm off sliced him across the face with the claws of that arm.

Who is this great and bad mystery man? That would be Apocalypse. Look at the second issue - it all happens right there, in those pages. Everything is unfolding as it unfolds.

That said, why should Wolverine care about killing Bishop? Bishop led to Angel's death. Wolverine gutted him. While the writing of the dialogue was absolutely horrible, I mean, hey, that's Kirkman. The premise isn't so bad.

And only Wolverine knows Cable is himself in the future. And probably Charlie X now. The others don't.
