I guess he knows because he was close to her in his past (if he was Wolverine that would explain everything) when the situation with the goblins came to an end (possibly in a life-endangering way for all the X-Men). I just hope the goblins thing is tied to the Phoenix and it's not something related to the Ultimate Goblin Queen (without the Madelyne part). I want some closure on the Phoenix section before they do something else with Jean.

And about last issue, I have to say that I was willing to give Kirkman an oportunity, but the best thing he has done to the point is make me remember how much I miss Millar and Vaughan in this title. Now almost everything is pretty predictable and there're some things that doesn't even make sense (like Rogue's arm, I didn't see that coming, but the regenerating part was kind of lame :S). Besides, I just feel that none of the characters are doing anything in this book right now and their development is zero.

I hope we get some decent stories or some new writer soon

Kirkman is going along with Millars trend....I guess....If Millar was on this book I think he would be going in the same direction as Kirkman.......Ultimate X-men has been consistently had its highs and lows since issue one...its just really mixed

That would be a great twist. Instead of being killed by Cable, he's killed by his best student.

I guess last issue's last page (the I love Jean part) is the reason why Scott wants to disband the X-Men when Xavier dies

Sadly, this has been hinted at for awhile. Back when the Shiar were running their "Phoenix" Tests and Jean went all nutso on Lilandra, it was Xavier that brought her back with an "I love you" (Or some such nonesense) and Jean blinked and was like "Charles?" Plus Scott had a few, "You're the one always in his head" comments about Jean and Xavier, so it's not out of the blue, just completely and utterly GROSS!!

he's still old. I thought it was bad when he was revealed to have had a relationship with his former student, Emma who is older than Jean but this? The guy needs to get his head examined

don't forget he screwed around with Mystique aswell. Xavier seriously likes his women young.

OK here's something Cable maybe scott! OK hear me out think about it. The man wants to kill xavier because of the news he found out at the end of the issue. Cable still has the one eye which I always thought was a nudge to his father in 616.

Jean after the death of whoever next issue may tell scott about the goblins. The man may some how have had adumantium laced on his bones kinda X-23 as she still needs to grow. It also explains the loss of the healing factor. And deep down Scott may actually respect Wolverine and moulded the cable character on him.

OK the whole 1st issue suggested Cable wasw Wolverine but lets for a minute just say that that was just a ploy.

See, I think that may have something to do with why Cable wants to kill him. Maybe Xavier does something to/with Jean that pisses Wolverine off since Logan has/had feelings for her too. It's a bit of a dark plot but plausible

I thought the Jeviaer thing died in 616 because it was so not received well. Ewww, why is Kirkman bringing it back. It didn't work the first time. WTH. He is officially on the level of You-Know-Who.

I forgot how Xavier already got caught looking at the younger girls in the leather.

That's kind of like what I suggested. When Cable mentioned the Goblin thing I thought of Madelyne Prior. Maybe Jean and Charles have a kid and that kid is Madelyne, which leads to a sh**ty future. Maybe Madelyne even alligns herself with Apocalypse and Sinister. Some kind of unholy trio causing the Age of Apocalypse (even Wolverine's missing arm is already there, even if it's as Cable).

It will be a hell of a twist since Xavier's death was what caused the Age of Apocalypse. It's ironic that his survival is what would probably cause it in Ultimate.

I'm pretty new to Ultimate X-Men and would like to know what 'arcs' are the best. As of now, I have/own the 1st arc (Tomorrow People) and the 8th arc (New Mutants) and have found them pretty good. Is the Magnetic North arc worth checking out? Does anyone know when Bryan Singer's run is supposed to start?

the 1st of never....lol. Singer's run keeps getting pushed back and Im not sure it will even happen

As far as teh best arcs aside from what you have, I would defiently check out Magnetic North. It was Vaughan's last arc adn wrapped up his run pretty nicely. I also loved his other ones, The Tempest and The Most Dangerous Game

I like that idea though. This could totally explain whjy Logan is shown leaving the mansion on a future cover. He probably feels all kinds of guilt and disgust towards that mansion.
