I'm also dissapointed that beast lost the fur. I always saw the UltXM Beast was kind of a mix of all the better visual interpretations of the character, oh well, could be worse, they coulda made him cat beast.

Beast will get his fur back some how, he has to. Mark my words if the books keep running to 200+ he'll get it back.

Did I miss something here?... What happened to the current line up of Colossus, Iceman, Rogue, Kitty, Cyclops, Storm and Jean after Xavier's death?

^Well Kitty left because she was "too young" to be around there after Xavier's death, Colosuss is off at Emma's school with Peter, and Cyclops (last issue) disbanded the X-men. So Bishop now wants to find a new team, which I hope is gonna still consist of Ororo, Jean, Bobby, Colosuss, and Rogue.

Edit: Oh yeah, Xavier isn't dead.....but nobody saw that coming right?

I hope he doesnt go blue again. I loved it when he first started looking human and didnt like when he went blue bc that was such a predictable 616 thing. Id like for this Beast to be different and keep his current look

We don't know yet. It was the end of the issue where Cable opens a door and is looking at Xavier in some tank filled with water. He then says "we have a lot to talk about." and that was it.

I dunno. He just doesn't look like Beast to me anymore without being blue. I don't mind some changes in the Ultimate-verse, but that ranked right up there with them killing off Gambit.

She just had a birthday and I beleive she turned 20. In 616, Xavier first loved Jean when she was a teenager at 16. Dont get any sicker than that

It was first revealed WAAAAAYYY back in (Uncanny) X-men 3. The guy watched her grow up as she first became a student of his when she was 10.

So, I had a thought about Ultimate Jean...

And the thought was that she's not the JEAN we know and love from MU. What if, in some really sick twisted ploy...the Jean from Ultimate is really Madelyne of MU? Like...they switched the names on the characters?

I mostly think this because Jean in Ultimate is 1) completely insane, 2) sees goblins, and 3) completely insane.

and as for the Madelyne theory, I sure hope that doesnt happen bc Jean fans have been screwed over enough as it is. We at least have her alive and seen regularly over here

I meant the poster probably meant it as a joke. Jean's had her issues but she's not completely insane nor has she been shown to be. Someone who's completly insane would be like 616 Scarlet Witch. Jean has not been portrayed like that. So she's had terrifying nightmares and has seen goblins. How do we not know the goblins arent there? I think they are; we just dont know the connection yet. Jean is pretty sane at least compared to the original Phoenix in 616
