What about Wolverine, Rogue, Iceman, and Bishop?
what about them? I forgot about Iceman so I added him, but I hate Ult-Rogue and Wolverine is boring. Bishop, I can do without. Okay he can run the school with the rest but I dont want him on the team

I like that Bishop will be on the team, but I think it's going to be very temporary (mostly b/c we haven't seen the last of Cable/Prof X).

The Ultimate Universe is good at keeping plots off panel for long periods of time(Magneto/Longshot and Juggs/Gambit) so I think Bishop'll be around for a looong time until they're ready to bring Cable/Xavier back.

yeah, that's true... i've been waiting for apocalypse for a looong time.

I think these have more to do with writer changes.

Any writer's free to continue a plot dropped off by the previous writer though. If Jerkman wanted to bring back Juggs and Gambit, I think he would have. There's a bigger picture and they're savin all these people for somethin.

true but its not uncommon for a new writer to leave dangling plots behind and focus on creating his new things. I cant fault him for that. Id rather he leave Vaughan's stuff behind instead of doing what he did with Sinister. I wish he never touched that one. Longshot was my favorite character and I sure as hell dont want him near him. Speaking of which, I cant believe I forgot about him. Id add him to my dream roster of X-men

No, the Juggs and Gambit thing was ignored because Iceman is Kirkman's Mary Sue and he wanted Rogue as his arm-candy. To accomplish this, he ignored all of Rogue's development and the very nature (and name) of the character as well as making her into a despicable person( sleeping around three days after your boyfriend died saving you) just so Bobby could be the one to pop her cherry.

Not that I'm bitter or anything..... :whatever:

I've stopped reading ult Xmen for a long time now. I just saw the cover of the latest issue with beast on it. Does this mean beast it back or is that just like a flashback?

Apparently there's no creativity when it comes to people returning from the dead...but I guess I rather have that situation instead of some kind of magical/voodoo reason.

Isn't that how they justified bringing Sabretooth back too? By saying he never died to begin with.

Lame.
They explained how they survived. Sabretooth survived cause Logan didnt fully decapitate him, there was only acouple tendens keeping his head on but its was enough for his healing factor to keep him alive. As for Beast he never died, they were able to revive him at the hospital but Xavier and Fury made it look like he died do Beast can work on the "Legacy Project" for SHEILD.

Rogue was ruined long before Kirkman came aboard. You say that its bc of Iceman and how she became despicable by trashing her feelings for Gambit and going with him, but one could argue the opposite direction. Bobby was her boyfriend first and she became despicable and up and left him for a stranger who kidnapped her, and came across as a heartless biyatch. I never cared for Rogue but that was the moment that made me hate her

I think long period off panel when talking about Gambit is coz he kicked the bucket...

Oh yes, I agree fully. wolf's run was a crappy arc. Aside from making Gambit into a bad caricature of the 616 version and completely ruining the kick*** one Austen created in #13 and 14, the entire "romance" between him and Rogue was completely forced. The shoe-horning made it seem morel like Stockholme Syndrome than anything else, and had Iceman displaying creepy stalker-esque behavior (creating ice-statues of Rogue, going on dates with a fake Rogue in the danger Room, etc).

I hope when they inevitably bring Gambit back ,we can just pretend all that never happened (normally I'm all for continuity, but since this stuff ranks as character assassination for everyone involved, I'm more than happy to simply ignore it).

Just read #82, story is still picking up but the art was awful.

So this issue confirms two of those mystery members of the new X-Men besides Storm and Bishop...

Pyro and Dazzler. And apparently Bishop picked them, and the others he's going to pick up, because they're some of the most important mutants in Bishop's history.

Say it with me: RETCON

I thought when they introduced the Ultimate line they were going to try to stop doing this stuff.

Wait- I thought no returning from the dead was going to be a policy too?

I HATE it when writers pull that crap. "This character will be super important in the future! That means s/he is interesting and a cool character!"
