Well, Bishop didnt want him on the team, which seems to imply that Bishop KNOWS he will become Archangel and therefore doesnt want him around!
or basically Bishop knew that he was a useless waste who would only get in their way

If Bishop knew he would become Archangel, he'd want him around to keep an eye on him and prevent that from happening much like he's doing with the Wolverine/Cable situation

I have to say I really liked the issue its been the best in sometime.

I like the idea of Nightcrawler and the Morlocks but seriously this would have worked better than agent of Weapon X.

I like the idea that Storm, Angel and Dazzler are being put on a team an active X-Men team, under used characters becomming useful.

Like the fact that Jean, Cyc, Rogue and Iceman cannot just stop being X-Men kinda like Jean and Cyclops in the run up to TPS and DPS in 616.

Hated the whole whats behind Cailisto's patch that smelt of X-Treme X-Men.

Last post of the page so it might have been missed...
I like how in that spread Angel is just kind of flying around in the background doing a lot of nothing.
He just punched a Sentinel. Dazzler is aiming at the Sentinel that Wolverine is taking on.

Whats gonna happen with them?

I wonder if Angel will develop an intrest in Psylocke like they had before.

I really liked this last issue, but the art was so off. I really like Callisto's power in the UU, great mix of her 616 powers. And I loved the Dark Phoenix bit. I just hope it won't end with a dead Jean.

On the covers front, I think the girl is Psylocke since all the purple going on (in the bubblegum, in her hair and in her clothes) but I didn't ever think of Ultimate Psylocke as been that chipper to be popping a chewing gum. I've always thought of her as a darker person. Anyways, if it's not Psylocke, my vote goes to Jubilee, but having two people with the same powers on the team doesn't look that feasible (unless they change Jubes powers, and yes, I know they're not exactly the same powers).

But even if it's Psylocke or Jubilee or somebody else, the team is one of the crappiest one I've seen. I don't like Bishop, Wolverine, Dazzler or Angel, so I hope the rest of them can redeem this team.

I don't really think the mysterious girl would be Jubilee, since other characters are all the ones we've seen before, bring in a completely new one out of the blue doesn't seem likely.

Though I must say that Bishop really has a weird sense of picking up his teammate:

Bishop- Seeing the ones he picked for the battle, I have not much faith in him.

Wolverine- The thug, but his claws and healing factor make him useful, though I still hope he could stay away for more than three issues.

Storm- she is suitable for fighting the Sentinels, when she feels like being useful that is. But judging from the cover, she still does nothing but lying on the ground doing sun-bathing.

Dazzler- At least she's doing something in the cover.

Angel- His power is quite questionable against Sentinels, and he doesn't have 616 Warren's strong personality to make up for it, which makes him probably the weakest link in the team.

Pyslocke(?)- Not sure what a telepath could do to giant robots, but the head behind the Sentinel program must be a person so she can have something to do.

Um, they bring in characters out of the blue all the time. Heck, Pyro only appeared once before he was recruited onto the X-Men, so he's essentially a brand new character as well. And besides, now would be the absolutely perfect time to bring in someone brand new with them starting a new team.

why would a black person Sun-bath?

I suppose that Jubille is more effective against Sentinels than Psylocke, though if it really is Jubes they bring in I hope the writers will try to make her power visually different than Dazzler's, otherwise it would be confusing.

Ultimate X-men is getting a bit better but there are still some things that bug me.

- Why does Bishop have different powers? His 616 power is great.
- The art is "meh" at best.
- The Dark Phoenix saga still isn't over?
- Cable is Wolverine?

yep cable is wolverine from the future with no healing factor and a robotic arm and eye.

Well at least Storm's looking hot while being useless...lol

And Betsy's costume, while I like it, reminds me of a stripper.

Not if shes already bodyswapped, then she should have her ninja fighting skills along with her telepathic abilities.
We don't really know if Kwannon was a ninja in the Ultimate Universe for the body-swap to matter in that regard...plus, we don't know if any of Kwannon's personality traits would even affect Betsy considering Kwannon died and Betsy's mind is just inhabiting her body. This wasn't really portrayed as a mind-merge via Spiral like it was in 616, unless they reveal some remnants of Kwannon still remain in Psylocke's new body. Besides that, Betsy might have already had fighting skills in her old body. I can't really remember if she fought hand-to-hand at any point in the Ultimate arc she first appeared in, but she was some type of agent.

Thats true. Well i hope she has some kind of hand to hand combat or something. I dont want her to end up being the weak member of the team.

I'm aware. But having Warren, and his lack of super strength, punch a Sentinel? He'd be more likely to break his hand than do any damage.

I hope so. At least he would be somewhat interesting.

Do you think he will be turned into Archangel anytime soon?

I hope not. I would like them to pick a different direction to go with the Ultimate Universe. I realize they have done alot of the same stuff so far but they shouldn't do Arch Angel again. Even though Arch Angel was 100 times better then Angel.
