"They" didn't really bring Beast back, though. It was one of Kirkman's splendid brainchildren, though why whoever the editor was went for it is beyond me. Why whoever the editor was went for the majority of Kirkman's splendid brainchildren is beyond me, actually.

At this point, it's just Loeb throwing it back out in about the same way Kirkman brought it back in. You can't blame Loeb for that.
