Just up and leave doesn't look like a good friend's act, much less a best one.

^That looks a bit like the girl in The Nightmare before Christmas.
neither does lying and keeping secrets. Beast's decision is about his own integrity and moral conscience, which he feels is being compromised by staying. Standing by and blindly supporting Scott just for the sake of it wont do anyone any good

lol...in case you guys didnt realize, Boom Boom = Dakota Fanning

Yeah, but for how long? Sooner or later Astonishing will catch up to real time. :(
Yeah sadly
I hope s.w.or.d gets canceled
honstley do we really need beast in space :hehe:.it sounds so stupid its funny i hate cosmic comics and now my favorite character is stuck in it.
:csad: R.I.P Beast you will never be the same again.:csad:

they wouldnt let Beast go to Avengers (which those writers wanted) yet he goes to S.W.O.R.D.? Oh well, at least the portrayal of him there is the best its been in years

There's no such things such as no secrets between two individuals, friends or not, it's impossible.
And does Hank ever give a thought about why Scott keeps the X-Force team as a secret?
Because it's ugly, but a necessary evil, and he wants to be the one who does the dirty work and save the precious innocence for his old-time friends' sake.

Hank's action feels more petulant than out of good intention imo.

I have to say that wouldnt be to badd seeing hank with the avengers again i wish they did that instead of this crap.

I have to say this is the worst Ive seen Mercury. How does one get her look wrong?

I blame the colorist. There's nothing wrong with the pencils, but her skin looks like it's just gray instead of liquid metal.

I think her eyes, (colorists fault), nose and hair look off. It doesnt look like Mercury

Except these arent little secrets. These are secrets that Scott has gotten Hank involved in, while not explaining the reason for doing so. Why is it a necesary evil? Thats only an opinion, not fact. One can argue for it, but it doesnt necesarily make it right.

Strategy works on secrets and deception...for a scientist, Hank is too touchy-feely about the whole thing.

yeah for the enemy. Hank is Scott's ally and teammate. There's no reason why he couldnt trust him enough with the truth. After all the years they've known each other and lived together, he should have at least respected him enough to be upfront about things. Do I expect Scott to run off and talk about everything to someone like Rockslide, Magneto or Boom Boom? Nope, but I would think that Beast ranks up somewhere above them

There are some people you let know about your plans. Your troops? Not necessarily. Your generals? They need to know. Hank is one of Scott's generals. If he doesn't learn how to delegate command and trust the people closest to him, he's going to overwhelm himself.

yeah thats how I look at it. There are a core group of characters that are in his inner circle so to speak, that should be informed about all things. Beast most definetly as the most senior X-men, and a trustworthy and loyal one at that should be

I remember from Legacy or Astonishing, there was a sentence said Scott learnt that he shouldn't trust anyone or something like that.

That's a pessimistic thought, but unrealistic? Not really, though I like my Cyclops to be an optimist.

when did Emma become Omega class
yea i really didn't like that "most powerful being in the Marvel U" line. doesn't that title belong to someone more like Prof. X, Magneto, Thor, Hulk, Sorcerer Supreme, Silver Surfer, Galactus, Phoenix, Beyonder, etc.?

for months now. I read that Fraction admited in a recent interview that he never heard of the term omega mutant before he started throwing around the term omega class telepath to describe Emma. It refers to an extremely powerful telepath and one of the most skilled. This is not to be confused with the term omega mutant. Marvel has been throwing around both terms alot lately, and they need to just give it a rest so that it can actually mean something again

I always saw Emma as being in the same power level as Psylocke

well thats what happens when someone doesnt research the book they are writing

Emma's gotten a power boost since Morrison's run. Characters kept mentioning that Charles, Jean, and Emma were three of the most powerful telepaths on Earth and all living under one roof.

love how Psylocke is like the 8th in line to take over the team telepath title. not really.

i mean cyke is using her but he was basically telling Betts she was worth hardly anything! lol

In all fairness, Betsy only has a fraction of her telepathy back and they all know it.

Some fans love the idea of characters having the title 'Omega', like it ever does any good to storylines or characters.

Telepathy is the most unstable power in mutant world, it's no surprising that it can be enhanced whenever the writer feels like it.

As long as Emma doesn't turn into a T-Rex in any coming issues...

I've finally gotten around to reading through #517. What the eff is up with Fraction putting Rogue's name Anna Marie in quotes as if that's not her real name? We've met Anna's aunt; that's her real name.
