Where would they start? Marvel often times tends to forget that she was an established character with a history before she joined the X-men. I was surpised to see that part briefly acknowledged in her current mini

i dont think it would be that difficult. it would probably have to be more of a recap book with her narrating/recalling the key moments of her life than a story, but as long as they settle on the Nicieza retcon people could finally easily understand her history.

im a bit torn- i always like to buy the standard covers because 9/10 times i like being able to look at it and be reminded what the story is (it helps with a large collection). but i hate anything Granov does outside of Iron Man, and that Finch cover is looking really good.

also, this is one of the first times theyve had Betsy with a katana instead of a psychic knife. on a cover anyways.

It looks like its a coloring error bc now that i look at it closer, those wings do look like they were intended to be metal and not feathers.

On a related note, I knew this cover semed oddly familiar

ehh i dont mind it. its mainly Warren (especially Warren) and Wolverine, and Kurt bamfing, buts it obvious theyre both original drawings unlike some other X-artist whos name is constantly brought up.

well its a little deceiving cuz it looks more like a regular katana with just some decorative psychic energy trailing of it. we dont know the extent of her powers now but id say its safe to assume that she cant form the psychic katana anymore (which also did physical damage, the knife is only telepathic). but she was seen with a katana blade in the previous cover for X-Men Legacy, and in her current mini shes been fighting with two she carries on her belt.

^ yea and i hate it when artist draw Laura like any of their other supermodel heroines. this girl is like a 15 yrs old, cold-blooded killer still recovering from serious psychological issues and some people still cant break her out of their typical, sexy bombshell design.

thats one of my favorite things about Mike Choi, hes one of the few artists who give their heroes individuality, and in the case of Laura, show the many sides of her personality- not to mention proper age.

Finch used to be a great artist. Loved his early work on New Avengers but he's slipped in recent years. His work looks more generic and his women as in the case of Betsy and Laura, look exactly the same

i still consider him a great artist (im sad to see him going to DC), he just needs to make a conscience effort to have different faces (something alot of artist need to learn, myself included).

me no likey the finch art. or that lineup..everyone in it, except colossus, has experience with sharp pointy things..so it could be the new x-force..which only has me worried for James
