She and Scott got rid of the Void thingy already.
which was dumb in and of itself. OMEGA telepath Emma couldnt defeat the Void on her own and had to shut down her powrs for fear of letting that thing loose, but Scott is able of containing it within his head by himself? Why isnt anyone worried about Onslaught 2.0 happening?

Eh. I'll worry about it when it happens.

Otherwise, I've long since accepted that I just don't like the way Matt Fraction interprets telepathic abilities.

You are worried about Scott going evil???
I think it already happened. He is amassing an army, has a assassination squad and allied himsel to Magneto....I think it already happened

I dont think he's evil, but he defiently has taken a darker turn. I hate how he's portrayed in Uncanny but surprisingly he's alot better in New Mutants. Over there he realizes just how far he has gone and realizes that there's still a place for Xavier's dream. He knows that he will need to find a successor to lead the X-men into the future carrying on Xavier's dream bc that person isnt him anymore bc he's changed. You dont get that from him elsewhere, as he's all about this new militaristic approach he's taken with the team. Death squads, killing, army mentality...etc. I think there's still hope from him; just depends on who's writing him

You people need to stop throwing the words Mary Sue/Mary Stu around. Because if you use it to describe Emma Frost, you obviously have no clue what the term even means.

A Mary Sue/Marty Stu is all powerful, well liked by every character in the story, can do no wrong, etc, etc. And Emma's NONE of those things in Uncanny. People on the team dislike her, she consistently makes mistakes, the only one you could argue is all powerful, and that alone is not to make her a Mary Sue.

It can be used to describe a character that the writer likes a lot and has that character accomplishing deeds that they are unable to. Clearly Scott and Emma are the main characters of X-men and everyone else is a supporting character. For Emma to read Magneto's mind through a helmet designed to keep Xavier out(who is more powerful) says a lot.

If anything, you could argue that an unprecedented amount of X-Men don't like each other right now. You've got Hank leaving, Warren and Remy fighting off the urge to kill everyone, Magneto's on the team again and nobody likes him, Peter and Illyana aren't even getting along, Remy & Anna aren't under each other for some reason, Dani wants to kick Sam in the nuts, the Stepfords don't trust Emma, 'Ro and Emma suddenly aren't getting along, Dr. Nemesis insults everybody, Kurt is depressed, Bobby thinks they're all in their final days, Charles is likely bitter at Scott because he won't listen to him and he's the only person being held prisoner on the island...

My god, the X-Men are depressing right now.

Wrong. Mary Sue's are not simply the writer's favorite character. Mary Sue's are capable of everything and anything, are always well liked even if their personality isn't the best, and more. Emma being able to do something with her powers she shouldn't be able to, is not a sole reason to say she's a Mary Sue.

Try again.

There are no Mary Sues in the X-Men right now... other than Rogue and maybe Pixie.

Carey really is becoming the Claremont to Rogue's Storm.

I'm still baffled how Pixie went from the cute flying chick in the corner who was alright in doses to...''HOLY **** SHE'S ANNOYING TAKE HER AWAY" so quickly.

I'm just bitter that she's been taking the spotlight away from Armor, plus she seems superfluous with Magik back in town. God only knows why everyone else hates her.

I will admit that I love reading her dialogue and imagining a Welsh accent, though.

I hate that she came along and suddenly Nightcrawler felt like he wasn't good enough anymore.

True facts about her taking away from Armor though. I'd never even thought about that. Armor was posed to be the next Kitty Pryde, then, in comes Megan.

Of course with the real deal coming back soon, I imagine we'll have witty cutesy girl overload.

Witty Cutesy Girl Overload would be Kitty, Megan, Hisako, Nori, Jubilee, Rachel, and Alisa.

You guys ever saw a group of females all get along?

Not gonna happen.

Though I really think Nightcrawler shouldn't get so upset over having Pixie as a competition...there are always some other mutants have similar powers and are even more powerful, in fact, most of the X-Men's enemies were more powerful individually (absolutely not counting Osborn), but the X-Men still came out alive and on top.

It's not like he can't win a fight unless his opponent is weaker than himself. Besides, there was Blink, did he feel threatened as well when she was around?

Prior to Necrosha, 616 Blink was around for 5 minutes and didn't teleport. I don't even know if he met her before she "died."

I've said this in another thread, though. Nightcrawler is the weakest teleporter to ever be a member of the X-Men or an X-satellite team. Compare him to Cloak, Pixie, Magik, Lila Cheney, Gateway, Vanisher, Exiles/AoA Blink. Nightcrawler has the worst range and has the hardest time taking other people with him when he teleports.

Nightcrawler's one advantage is that his teleportation is better suited for combat than anyone else's. He's the only one who can teleport around a single enemy in rapid succession. Hell, just hopping on Nightcrawler's back as he teleports a dozen times in a row will get you dizzy.

But he's not a transport service. Never has been, and it was never an issue for him in the past.

nah he never knrew Blink. She was only around for 3 issues and Jubilee and Banshee were the only X-men members who ever met her back then prior to her reappearance in Necrosha

No, I'm pretty sure in Uncanny he's still portrayed that he knows how far he's gone. After all, we're not dealing with an idiot savant here.

It's just a different aspect of the character focus; and, vice versa, it's a focus on different aspects of the character.

In New Mutants, it's a part of its narrative(s). In Uncanny, it's a part of its narrative(s).

One narrative does not encompass everything of one character, ever. That is not how narratives are constructed.

Cable shows up on the X-force cover so maybe he's not the death that occurs in the previous month, unless Hope resurrects him or it could mean nothing.

im a bit tired of this already and it hasn't even started.

Bishop would say : "You all should have let me finish what I've been doing! Now you get to kill her and be the heroes and I'm stuck as the guy who tried to kill a baby!"

Warren better not die or I'm gonna be pissed off and burn Marvel to the ground. :cmad:
