unfortunately Marvel agrees with you. I personally miss her. I was so happy when they got rid of her but its long since time she came back to being an important figure in the X world.

maybe Second Coming will end with the rejuvination of the mutant race, the destruction of Utopia, the downfall and absence of Cyclops, and the return to Xavier's vision led by Storm.

One can hope. I see alot more Xmen reacting towards Cyclops, his secrets and his lies, the way Beast and Kurt did. I hope alot of them defect and Storm gets off her butt and actually takes an active role again.

I'd like to see Storm take a leading role sometime soon...but I don't see it happening unfortunately. I might give Doomwar a go to see what she's doing there.

i wonder if Kurt will leave after, or even before, this is all over. Scott said dont question him while hes in the field and take it up with him when they get home. so if they return before SC ends will he just up and leave his teammates?

and i was a little surprised Logan didn't react a little to Laura. im pretty sure it wasn't his intention to expose X-Force's methods so blatantly. and he was always against Laura's violent nature and her inclusion on the team.

I think I speak for quite a few people when I say: Nightcrawler is still in the X-Men? I thought he disappeared after Rise & Fall of the Shi'ar Empire, because he sure as hell hasn't done anything since then.

Actually I thought he quit after a special recently cause Pixie was doing his job. I could've sworn there was a one-shot about this.

There was. He quit, went back to Germany, then came back to San Francisco.

And I take back what I said earlier. Nightcrawler hasn't done anything since that last Magik miniseries, and before that he hadn't done anything since the Divided We Stand arc. Otherwise, it's like he wasn't even part of the X-Men anymore. I don't think he showed up at all during Fraction's Dark Avengers crossover. It's like he's been dead this entire time, anyway.

If they kill Nightcrawler during Second Coming, it'll be a case of Nightcrawler crawling back in from obscurity for exactly 5 minutes just so he can get killed off. Basically, they'd be pulling another Caliban.

I thought he quit then too. I was surprised to see him again recently in Legacy. He probably was in teh background of Fraction's UXM but I dindt notice or forgot

Why in the world does the Alpha team just consist of a bunch of brawlers? Where the hell is Iceman? Or Gambit? Anyone with some built in firepower

they could benefit from adding Iceman or Northstar, but they got their bases pretty well-covered:
Wolverine and X-23 - your frontline scrappers with healing factors
Colossus - your muscle
Pyslocke- your telepath/telekenetic(??) + martial artist
Angel- your eyes in the sky
Nightcrawler- your teleporter whos MUCH more useful in combat situations than the others porters
Magik- your transportation

Apparently Gambit is too busy mooning over Rogue to do anything worthwhile anymore.

Doomwar is pretty good. Pick up the two issues that are already out.

Facetiousness only works if it can really be grounded, and usually only when it's actually humorous. Just saying.

Not to mention that, with the possible exception of Magik, they're all rather high-profile characters that are known.

I'm just saying, Nightcrawler's barely been around at all. He hasn't shown up in Uncanny X-Men since the Sisterhood arc, where I can't remember him doing much of anything. And that was about a year ago. Of all the appearances and cameos that occurred during the Utopia crossover, he wasn't among them. Adam X got more facetime than Nightcrawler during that.

Nightcrawler all of a sudden getting a push to the spotlight would urge me to believe they're killing him off and not the opposite.

The "push" is narratively sound. They need a foil to Cyclops. Nightcrawler is one of the prime candidates.

That doesn't make it an "OH GOD HE'S GOING TO DIE" thing.

theres no guarantee for any particular character that they will die. Its all speculation. Out of all on the alpha team (assuming one of them will die), for many it seems like Nightcrawler is the most likely candidate. Nightcrawler is a vet so he would count as a meaningful death as opposed to some random C/D lister, but at the same time he would be a safe choice as none of the writers were really invested in writing for himl. Again its all speculation but if he makes it out of this story alive, I will be surprised.

Once again, I remember Fraction giving an interview where he said he enjoyed writing the character he's about the kill off, and to say that Fraction has written more than 2 pages worth of Nightcrawler during his solo run of Uncanny is a stretch.

Fractions' not writing the death in X-force though. Thats going to be Yost/Kyle. Fraction still has oppurtunity in UXM to kill off someone else
