This is a really cool manip of Jodi Lyn O'Keefe as Wonder Woman. She would be perfect in the role. She looks great, can act, has the right build, statuesque height and beautiful eyes!! Come on Joss, pick her already!!
I agree; I like it and think Majik did a good job. (Though that really isn't my favorite pic of her, and as a general rule I'm not a big fan of the Maxim shoots anyway—they airbrush the life out of the photos, for one thing.)

I'm with you. I say we have a script now, and we have our Wonder Woman. Let's get Jodi signed up and get the show on the road. Wonder Woman is long overdue for her big screen debut, and I'm tired of waiting!

Thanks for posting this picture. It inspired me to draw her as Wonder Woman.

Still a work in progress

she has the most beautiful blue eyes, charisma, confidence, is over 5' 10", and speaks english very well. her acting, i do not know about. remember, lynda carter was a beauty queen as well.

btw, if u like her, vote for her to be miss world. her # is MW312.

Okay, I'm sick of hearing about beauty queens being suggested because Lynda Carter was a beauty queen.

News flash people, Lynda Carter was also actress before Wonder Woman, not just a beauty queen.

i did not suggest her b/c she is a beauty queen like lynda carter. i suggested her b/c i think she is beautiful and looks like ww. i mentioned lynda b/c many ppl instantly assume a beauty queen cannot do anything besides look pretty, let alone act. i also mentioned i do not know if she can act, but if she can, i think she would be a graet candidate for ww.

It's not just your suggestion, it's basically everyone on here who has suggested someone who has competed in a pageant because their pretty and their only validation is because Lynda Carter was a beauty queen. I'm saying, yes Lynda Carter was a beauty queen but unlike almost all of the beauty queens suggested, Carter had acting experience.

true, but that doesn't mean the other girls would not be good actresses if they started acting now. 1st time actors can also be good in many cases.

anyways i don't think ANYONE has suggested the perfect actress for ww yet, i hope they find the perfect unkown to play her.

Exactly dude. IT IS A NEWS FLASH because NOBODY knows Lynda Carter was an actress before Wonder Woman. Nor does it matter. Lynda Carter IS wonder woman, remembered for NOTHING ELSE. Also, was she an actress before she was a BEAUTY QUEEN? You did not make that clear.

I say all this being a HUGE Lynda Carter and Wonder Woman fan. NOONE and I mean NOONE will be able to do Wonder Woman like she did which is why she is remembered and known for only that, and not her part in "The Dukes of Hazzard." She is a legend, along with Lou Ferrigno. They played the character like noone else could.

Maybe we're sick of people shooting down beauty queens just because they're beauty queens. The pageant contestants of today have to do a lot more than be pretty.

I doubt very seriously Lynda Carter had much of an acting career before, during, or after her pageant and/or wonder woman. sorry.

i liked your whole post, nytcasual72, but this part especially

thank u for that^

interestingly enough i haven't heard many ppl say "i'm sick of all these pornstars and playboymodels" no, they like knocking beauty queens better., they must be good actresses i suppose... not.

No. There's a two year difference between her in the Miss World pageant and her first credited acting job.

No arguement there.

Maybe if you have something other than their looks and their involvement of being in a pageant, people might think about them but seeing as no one's been able to about any of the beauty queens there's no reason for them not to be shot down.

Matter of opinion.

I'm sick of the pornstars and playboy models being suggested too, but I've seen more beauty queens being seriously suggested for the role rather than pornstars/playboy models being seriously suggested.

I´m sick of all of that. It´s funny the double standard of the boards. If someone suggested a male model or pop singer who never acted for Batman or Superman, the posters would be chasing the guy with a machette... But nobody has a problem if pornstars and playboy models and beauty queens are suggested for Wonder Woman... This role demands a real actress, like Supes or Bats.

Every other actress I have to sort of bend my imagination to fit the actress into the role then evaluate how much I can let concede to envision how well she fits. With Monica Dean I don't have to try at all. All I see is Wonder Woman.

Your are agreeing with my statement, right?:ninja:

Wasn't Brandon Routh a male underwear model?

Maybe, but before Superman, he was more known as a soap opera actor.

She did have an acting career, but you're right. It wasnt much of one. One movie I'm aware of that she did before landing the role of Wonder Woman is a movie titled, "Bobbie Jo and the Outlaw".

Don't remember it? Don't worry. You're not the only one. It was one of those low budget AIP movies from the mid-to-late 70's. But it did have a few love scenes with Mrs. Carter that showed off that to die for body, which to be honest, was one of the reasons why I bought a DVD copy of it off of eBay. :yay:

Anyways, yeah. I agree that no one will ever touch the greatness Lynda Carter brought to the role. Much in the same way no one will ever touch the greatness that Chris Reeve brought to the role of Superman back in the late 70's.

My personal pick right now would have to be Morena Baccarin (if we're talking a 20-something WW). I've been more impressed with her acting out of the names that have been mentioned in the previous 5-10 pages of this thread. Alot of girls have the look, but it's the acting I'm far more concerned with. And with this movie, I doubt it will be easy for ANY actress to make this movie float.

Because if the character doesnt work, then this movie doesnt work (which can be very stressful for any unknown actress). And it's going to take alot more than just posing and looking pretty for this film to work. And out of the young actresses that have been mentioned, I think I would feel more comfortable with Morena as the lead than any of the names mentioned thus far. So yeah, she's Wonder Woman to me.

Hey gang,
New to the board so Hi to all. Some beautiful woman and great art on this thread so far. Anyone hear this rumor about Rachel Bilson supposedly landing the role.

http://www.pr-inside.com/the-o-c-star-rachel-bilson-is-reportedly-set-to-play-wonder-woman-in-the-new-r18553.htm

I don't know, she's a pretty gal but beyond attractiveness to me it has to be someone who looks convincing while she's kicking butt. Bilson doesn't look tough enough to me.

EDIT: Ok never mind just found the other thread mentioning and then debinking this. Whew! Its a shame as she might be to old if they want a mid 20s Wonder woman but Maria Grazia Cucinotta would have made a perfect one I think. She's got the bod and a tough ass stare and that beautiful Mediterranean look.
Here's a link to a great pic of her

I'm concerned with both actually, since I don't see why the two have to be mutually exclusive.

I've seen Morena act, and she seems like a fine young actress to me. But I've seen some of the others too, and I could say the same about them. And often there simply isn't enough data to tell very much, because as a rule many are young, relatively inexperienced actors. (I guess that's what auditions are for.)

It's more than just having the "look," too; it's also about having the kind of physical presence needed to be convincing as a formidable character. I can think of a lot of very good actors that I simply can't imagine—at least not without laughing—as Superman, no matter how great their performance might be.
