the editors obviously dont care about these fringe characters. because they serve them up as fodder for Yost and Kyle...wasnt meltdown a member of Nextwave?? where are her damn teammates?
 
I never read NextWave, I wouldn't know. :O
 
I... have nothing to say. The story will be continued next week, so we'll see.
 
There's still room for a conclusion(one that involves Surge and Hellion coming back somehow) but I have a feeling that this Cable business is going to get 100% of the next issue's attention.

It's funny, for years I complained that the stat quo in comics never changed. Nobody ever died, got disfigured, or suffered any injury that carried over from arc to arc. It was as if the magically healed in between arcs. Then they killed Black Goliath and I was like "Nobody cared about him, but at least somebody died". It was refreshing and new. then Cap died and myself along w/ the rest of the world was like "OMGWTFBBQ!?". Then Wasp was killed and I was like "Ok, enough already". Now, we get these two sadists Kyle and Yost who must reach into a bag full of unused X-characters and kill off whoever's name they pick. **** ain't right..........it ain't right.
 
i loved how the book kinda had a moment for scott. you can kinda feel the burden thats been place on him...and how its affecting him
 
I didn't get the sense that he was conflicted at all. I imagined him pushing that button when Hank didn't want to w/ minimal hesitation. In his defense, Cable is his son and there's a lot at stake.
 
The only death recently that has led for a good story in the Marvel Universe was Steve Rogers. The rest just were for ''shock value".

I'm hoping for a massive rewipe where all these dead people come back.
 
Maybe Hope will turn out to be Jean after all, she'll pull a Scarlet Witch in the last page...

Lol. Hilarious. Quite honestly, I'm glad Boom Boom is gone. She was an evil woman. She was in Next Wave too. So they did use her a while ago.

I still think this is an awesome book. I'm fine with the deaths. It just raises the stakes since there are so few mutants left. That means people are going to go after and target them and try to wipe them out.

That issue was the biggest bunch of horse**** I've read in my entire life. They're trying to tell me that Cyclops, who is trying his hardest to help mutantkind to live on, inviting all the world's mutants, powered or not, to the X-Men's new sanctuary so he can try to protect them and to help mutants live on, is just going to sit there and remove the only chance to save a rather powerful young mutant, one who can be a huge asset to the X-Men, one who went out of her way to help the X-Men move to San Fran, and just let her die? ********! That is not Cyclops. I'm so sick of them twisting around characters so they're almost unrecognizable. I know Hope is a big priority, but so is every mutant in the here and now. That's why it's called TIME TRAVEL. No matter what time they leave in the present, they're still gonna wind up in the same place in the future. Would it have killed them to let Vanisher port Tabitha out of there in one second and THEN send them to the future? NO. Neither Yost or Kyle will be getting any of my money in the future unless I'm actually obligated to buy the comic for some other reason. And I will be joining Manic in not picking up Cable for the Messiah War so as not to deal with this kind of dreck anymore.
 
I really really want to see what's gonna happen in Messiah War, but I think I'll join in the not picking up Cable while Messiah War is going on.
 
I'm probably the most anal about collecting books out of the lot of us and even I'm considering boycotting Killer Kyle and Yost

DO YOU FINALLY FEEL LIKE THEY HAVE BETRAYED YOU (THEIR READERS) BY TAKING THINGS TOO FAR?!! LIKE I PREDICTED?!! :cmad:

I think I'd rather having a gaping hole in my collection than monetarily support my fav characters being slaughtered.......and I HATE gaping holes in my collection
 
I hate holes too, but when crap gets so bad, I'm just not going to support it. When they ridiculously offed Icarus and Wallflower in New X-Men, I was through. Not a single cent went towards them when I could just skim the **** in the store.

Specter left ages ago when they were still on New X-Men. He never even started X-Force. He just skims it in the shop. :o I stuck around through all of New X-Men, then never started X-Force.

Why is it that seperate they are not so bad? But together they are murderous suck forces?
