what was her first comic appearance? was it the savage land story from Claremont? and was there ever a time when her codename was "Talon"? i could've swore i saw that in a New X-Men scan or something.

I think her first appearance was NYX, where she was working as a child prostitute... and hadnt really adjusted at all to being a person yet. Was a good story (even if it did take about 4 years to get 5 issues out) I liked the "spaced out"ness that X-23 used to have back then.

Yeah.. that Claremont Story... where she was wearing some old Shiar costume(WTF?) and working in a Imperial Guard themed bar(WTF?) and went to the arctic to fight dinosaur men trying to destroy the world (WTF?). At least she didnt fare too badly in that Story, Rachel started turning randomly into a dinosaur for no reason (also WTF?)

I think people have thrown Talon around but its not really been used much. its just not a "great" name. Anyone think of any better?

I think she was first in NYX. I heard the codename Talon before, but i don't remember one time she actually went by that. weird.

Damn Claremont.... i live your classic x-men stories but it's not your x-men any more. sorry....it's kinda like breaking up with a chick with claremont it was good well it last...but it's time to move on....but i will cherish all the great times we had with each other for forever

i'm just now getting exposed to Kyle and Yost's writing through X-Force and MC, and i can see where the hate is coming from. i was pissed when they killed Boom Boom, Tabitha, whatever she's going by today, and i don't even care about the character! and i've grown to love the New Mutants (especially Surge and Mercury) ever since Carey's 'Blinded by Light' so if Surge dies i just might go on a rampage.

We have extra pitchforks and torches for you if we do in fact have to go on a rampage

Claremont had her angry and feral, and truly tried to push her as a female Wovlerine. Suffice it to say, his version of her was the worst. Thank god he didnt have her for long and she's been in the hands of Kyle and Yost, who have done much better with her

I'm just happy to hear that other people are X-23 fans. I loved both of her mini series, and she was kick ass in New X-Men and now X-Force.

Also, I finally got the whole run of New X-men (from new mutants to the end of new x-men) and in the arch where they fight Nimrod, when he is scanning Laura, it reads codename: Talon. weird. I like Talon better then X-23, but there has to be something better then Talon.

And, I really like where X-Force is going. This Messiah War, then the next arch sounds even better. I don't know, I think I just want to see what happened to Surge and Hellion. I read on some other message board that they think why X-23 scratched that X into the ground is because thats exactly where she wants to be standing when they go back to their time line.

Yea that is hard to make out without colouring. I can see DP, Archangel,Warpath and...is that Hulk? What has he got to do with anything?

Ok, so Hulk is fighting Wolverine, Deadpool is fighting Warpath, Domino is having a shootout with the Punisher, X-23 is fighting Elektra, Jet Boots is flying towards archangel, and some Lady I dont know is just randomly swinging fists.

I... don't understand.

I really like her character as well. I was able to find the Target X tpb today, no luck on Innocence Lost, I'll try again next week, but I really wanna read more stories involving her. Too bad some of the New X-men tpbs go for so much money right now

I love how Hope and X-23 are kinda connecting...i like it when they show the other side of X and not just her Killing Machine side

I like how Wolverine was putting his trust in Warpath.

Personally, if Wolverine was ever phased out of this book, I'd definitely want Warpath as the leader. But not before Wolverine and Domino bang.
