Comics Official X-FORCE Discussion Thread

Warpath is too emotional and at times wishy-washy to make a capable leader of the squad. That's why Wolverine works as a leader*, and why Cable made a good one in the original days. When the direction of X-Force changed, that's why an emotional and goody-goody Cannonball made an okay to fine leader.

Assuming the book's direction stays the same, if Wolverine were phased out, I'd prefer to see either X-23 or Domino step up.

*And even then, as someone said in the latest issue (I think it was, or the issue before that, was it Warpath who said it?), he really sucks. Haha.

i think warpath and domino... but if wolverine goes we lose that domino and wolverine dymatic

would the book even survive without wolverine
I dont think Wolverine is needed. He adds to it but it most certainly could survive. In fact I dont think any book really needs him except for his solos.

I think it can. Domino could most definately lead that team. I would suggest X-23 but she is less experienced plus she needs someone to reign her in every now and then

If Wolverine were to leave, I think Warpath should get first dibs on leading. He already has experience, having led the Hellions back in the day. I think he's more than capable of handling things now

I could enjoy that too

I'd actually think tactically X-23 could do a much better job of leading and getting the objectives of missions complete ....its just any civilian hostages would die pretty quick, and team members would be entirely expendable.

Considering Wolverines meant to be "The best there is at what he does" X-23 is frankly a lot more skilled at killing people now.

I agree with this. But I think it's X-23's sometime lack of control and her kill now interrogate never actions that would not make her the best leader. It would occassionaly just be lots of death with no regard for others. I think she will eventually come around and be more conscious of that but it may take some time.

But you could say that her being the way she is now gives off that "Get the job done no matter what" sorta vibe.

ya X-23 has always been like that. The mission always comes first, whatever it takes to get the mission done kinda girl

isnt Angel in this book? so he would be a natural for leader no?...except him being a bit loco after finding out he is Dr.Jekyll to Archangel's Mr. Hyde.

I wouldn't like Angel as a leader. Way too much emotional drama and shifting going on with him IMO

Even when he lost the metal wings the first time, he never stopped using the name Arc--

ugh, nevermind.

i dont understand how giving him metal wings automatically qualifies him as a formidable fighter that can take down a sentinel on his own... i mean..are they adamantium?

well even if they werent adamantium, arent the "feathers" like razors? so flying at his top speed and using them like blades could do serious damage to a sentinel.

Yeah, if he side-swiped the sentinels. Warren keeps flying head-first into stuff, which makes me wonder why he hasn't hit his head yet.

maybe he has a protective aura around him..like cannonball...then that would kinda make cannonball useless, because archangel also has TH3 WINGZ
