Oh god, help me guys!

My PS3 is teh broken!!1

I flick it on, but there's no picture! AV or HDMI hasn't worked on either of the 2 TVs I've tried it on, held the button down and all that jazz too.

WTF's going on, I only turned it off for a minute or two!

This sounds very odd to me. Are you sure you held the power symbol long enough? Make sure you hold the power symbol until the system has turned itself on and off completely-- then, turn it on as you normally would. If that doesn't work, you should give Sony a call. They might decide that your system is broken, in which case they'll have you mail it in and they'll replace it with a fixed one. If you still have the warrenty, they'll do this for free, but otherwise they're going to charge you $150. Like I said though, try holding the power key again, and if that doesn't work call Sony.

Ugh, such a shame, 60GB launch system gone in the blink of an eye like that. I even just realised that the controllers arn't signing on to it and not even responding when I plug them in.

Dude that sucks! Did you back up all your saves? Hopefully it isn't the harddrive and just something to do with the CPU. Let us know what Sony says.

Well I gave Sony a call and they're going to replace it on Wednesday with a console that also broke but they took in and put up to standard again. I just hope its a 60GB, 80 preferably, I was running out of hard drive space. Its a bit of relief that I'll get a new one so fast, but its gonna be a shame to see my launch model go, I gotta kind of attached to the ol' fella .

And no I didn't back up my saves. I don't mind having to do things again really but... what about my trophies? Do I need to back them up?

That's great news. I'd hate to lose my 60gig as well, but at least you will get it in time for LBP and the rest of the great games coming out this holiday season. The trophy's are tied to your PSN ID.

A: Trophies will be attached to users’ PSN ID. Trophy data needs to be synchronized to the online account on PSN to be transferred to the new PS3 system.

Right. Remember that they made it that way so that you couldn't just dL someone elses games saves to get the trophies. You earned them and they are attached to your ID forever.
