do a quick internet search on Grant Morrison for yourself. everything you read is true

Grant Morrison is the Charles Dickens of comics. Some people love him (mostly because he's famous) but his comics are always incredibly confusing and their plots are always thick and many times reference things that most readers aren't familiar with.

I think the frustration comes more from how this Batman run has been a bit...odd. I would hesitate to call any of it truly confusing (with the exception of Daniel's art, which has not always been clear), and fans don't need a complete understanding of the references to older, Silver Age stories since Morrison's reworked them anyway and transformed them from literal references to past events into something of his own design. All fans need to know, more or less, is that it happened in Bruce's past.

Certain elements have been a bit over the top and some have been a bit from left field, and I can understand why those would be off-putting, especially since they haven't all been terribly well developed or executed. Things like ninja-man-bats, Jezebel Jet, and the handling of Talia and Damian have left certain fans cold, me included to an extent, but aspects like the Three Ghosts of Batman were pretty danged fun and interesting.

So more or less, its been a strange set of ups and downs.

He's not the greatest writer, but I think Arkham Asylum, Black Glove, and RIP are pretty good arcs.

it's almost like you've never of All Star Superman, New X-Men, Seaguy, We3, JLA, Seven Soldiers, Animal Man, Aztek. None of these stories are thick or obscure. What you're talking about is the Invisibles, Doom Patrol and The Filth (the best btw). They're all also kind of highly regarded by, well, alot of people. alot of comic fans who enjoy more than just generic superhero find the bad guy comics

Charles Dickins lol. he was also kind of a well-known and respected writer. and not because he's famous but because the books were good, definitely

My favorite thing about of a Grant Morrison story is when it ends.

You're right. Most of his stories are so horrible, you'd have to be braindead to read the whole thing.
