This would've been premiere week for Season 11. :(

This summer felt the same as the previous 9 (minus the spoiler reports and casting news), but now something is amiss.

I LOVE Smallville but I don't miss it at all... mainly because I'm glad it went out on a high note. Besides, we always have the DVDs to rewatch.

I don't miss Smallville but I'm going to miss it this time next year. Since this time last year I didn't miss Lost because I thought it ended perfectly but now I'm missing.

You sort of missed the point. Whether it ended well or not is irrelevant, it's just the fact that for the first time in a decade there's no new shows to look forward to.

I also miss Smallville, but I'm not without great television programming. I was able to buy the 8th season set for $14.99 at Best Buy yesterday.

I always hate a show I like or was on for extended number of yrs ends. I am like what the heck am I going to fill. The void with now.

Yeah I know what you mean. I still miss the show.

yeah like I said, I didn't miss it all summer because I'm used to not having it to watch in the summers. Now I'm used to having it come back and there's just a void.

I feel like pet passed away or something lol ;)

Same... and I knew it'd only really hit me now.

It's just different to any other show i've ever watched, because I wasn't just watching it.

I mean, before Smallville, I never read spoilers for TV shows. I never wrote fanfiction. I never made scrap books of magazine cut outs... I never even posted on forums!

A lot of my obsessiveness wore off towards the end (mainly because I started a teenage girl and the show ended when I was 23), but I miss having new Smallville to talk about, new spoilers to get excited over and speculate over, new pictures to make into cool avatars etc etc.

:(

Smallville definitely left a bit of an "emptiness" in me so to speak. I miss it a lot for sure.

Now we don't have Smallville but we have something even better:
Grant Morrinson's Superman! :awesome:

Personally I think the dc relaunch and changes for characters was a dumb move.

^^ I don't. I'm not trying to turn this thread into a DC relaunch argument, but I really think it was a needed move. The business has been suffering for quite a long time and something like that was necessary. It takes a lot of balls to do it, especially in the economy today. Only time will tell if they made a dumb decision or not. If they keep selling out everything a year from now, then they made the right call.

You use the word "we" more than once. Don't.

oh i wasnt trying to do that myself johnny, i was just stating my opinion on the whole dcnu stuff. I only think it was dumb cause its not a full reboot its a partial reboot for some and total change for others. It just seems to be even more of a mess then how continuity was prior to the relaunch. In my mind either leave things be as they were or do a totally clean fresh start for everyone. Not a half done deal.

I've found new TV shows to watch in the past few months (Supernatural) to pass the time. I've heard season 7 starts Friday and I'm almost done with Season 6. I'll miss Smallville when I watch through all 10 seasons to the finale.

Well at least we have the re-runs on TNT starting in October. I just REALLY hope that they start with the Pilot and end with the Finale. I hate it when shows are on syndication and they jump all over the place. I remember when Smallville was on HD NET. They would show each episode back to back and in order. But for whatever reason, about two months before the Finale aired, they quit with the end of Season 6.

I'm going to be really excited to see Smallville on TNT at 12 p.m. but I'll also be depressed that I'm home in the middle of the day unemployed...

Hd net lost syndication rights I think was the reason. As for tnt I don't see why they wont air the show in order.

ya happens all the time sucks, but hey at least we got a solid network to syndicate it.

It kind of points to lose. That it ended well or not is irrelevant Gold[/url], it's just that for the first time in ten years is nothing new seems to look to the future.
