Okay which you like the most alien or aliens

Yep There has been long discussions as to which movie is better and of course aliens comes on top most of the time. But lots of people discuss that both have strong qualities and that its really unfair to compare the two given the fact that both are so different(even if they share lots of obvious similarities), one more sci-fi/Gothic horror the other sci-fi/action. This is it time to put it on the table which one is the best for you and why.

I love 'em both, but they're very different movies.

Alien - horror/suspense

Aliens. The first Alien was kinda scary the first time, but like many other horror movies it feels (for me at least) like it didnn't have much offer the third or fourth time I saw it. While Aliens, with it's focus more on action than horror is far more enjoyable after multiple watchings.

well id have to vote Alien above Aliens purely because of the whole fear factor in it....its slow moving camera shots and the music,not to mention the cast...its all brilliant...i do like Aliens as well though....the fight with the queen is unique to all the saga which makes it high on list but i my favourite which im a bit disappointed isnt on this list is Alien 3.That is by far the best.The acting is brilliant with another amazing cast line up but the thing that steals it for me is the soundtrack. As ripley is falling, the music nearly always brings a tear to my eye. its just an amazing film

but all three are very close to each other in ratings though.i love em.resurrection let the whole saga down.the acting was shoddy,they tried to get a high profile cast which was unnecessary,the musical score just didnt match up and the alie hybrid at the end was disgraceful...i watched the extras with some of the penned ideas by Giger for the hybrid and some of them were amazing and it was a shame they werent used.

1-3 were awesome the 4th was another fine example of hollywood cashing in on an already sterling franchise...a sequel wasnt needed.

its meant to have good continuation...its a sequel...you cant get good continuation from the first film cos its not following on from anything...its an original idea.

Ummmm they went down to LV-426 in the first one they brought a face hugger back. In Aliens they found rippley and she found out they had made a colony on LV-426. and she got all pissy about it and they sent in the Marines.

Seems like its picking up from the end of Alien to me
