Iron Man 2 Olivia Munn Has Been Cast!

Wanda? Nah, she'll surely appear in a future Fox X-Film... I doubt that greedy studio would be willing to hand her over.

Besides, if Marvel doesn't have X-Men I don't see the point of using Wanda if by some crazy loophole they still had the rights for her. They'll have to completely change her backstory to remove Magneto and other X-Characters and probably change the fact she's a mutant.

Now does FOX own the Marvel concept of mutantcy? Because that goes way beyond just the X-Men. Also do they own the concept of Adamantium? Because it's more than just what Wolverine's bones are coated with.

No, but I'm pretty sure they own Scarlet Witch.

I remember reading that Marvel retained the rights to Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch while I was reading about the Disney purchase. Fox does NOT have them. I don't know if it was official or not.

Though unnamed, Quicksilver was in Wolverine, which leads me to believe he'll be in First Class. I'd be surprised if Fox doesn't own the rights to the twins... especially considering they were originally going to do a Magneto origin.

I remember hearing that Marvel Studios has the rights to Cable since Cable was one of the films they were looking for script writers to work on along with other Marvel films like Dr. Strange a couple months back. They didn't get Cable, but they did happen to get Deadpool who I wouldn't even really consider to part of the X-Men series. So the Fox rights are weird like that. It does seem like they have the rights to Quicksilver though. Maybe not Wanda, but it'll be weird to do Wanda without her brother or any element from her backstory that deals with the X-Men or Brotherhood.

Fox are so messing up with the X-Men franchise though.

The continuity sucks, they solely focus on Wolverine and no one else, and I haven't even heard anything new about a Magneto movie.

And I'm not even excited over a Deapool film, just because I doubt it will be any good. I disliked the trilogy, I only liked a few(and only a FEW) things about Wolverine, and I didn't even enjoy Zombieland...so I think those writers will be horrible, imo.

If Marvel wants Scarlet Witch in the Avengers franchise, they need to at least buy that character out if necessary. Heck, maybe even try for Quicksilver.

I still believe Munn isn't the SW though. I'm still betting that she's the A.I. for War Machine. It'll be an upgraded version of War Machine with an A.I., and Stark chose a sexy female's voice just to make Rhodey feel special.

Meh. I really don't want Olivia Munn as Wanda. They need to take the role a bit more seriously if that were true. They should get someone like Franke Potente or Eva Green

Yeah I'm not putting much stock in random internet rumors like this.

I remember seeing her on her own in the old Iron Man cartoon, fighting with Spider-Woman for Starks affections. There was no Quicksilver in that.

Also i think she works better away from the X-men and Magneto, she wasnt as tied to the x-lore as pietro, he always had the whole daddy complex with Magneto. i didnt see much of them together except when he showed up to take her away in excalibur just before the house of M.

Munn would be a cool Scarlet Witch, she could even help tie in the magical aspects of Thor and possibly Dr Strange in the future

heres hoping she can act!

You mean this cartoon?

I don't really like SW with short hair.

hehe thats the one.

her hair was bad but her accent was even worse!

Good points, but I still hope SW is not in this film really. The film is overcrowded as it is and the Scarlet Witch is a different breed of character then everyone else in the film.

I don't think anyone is dumb enough to cast Munn in a major role or even a supporting role.I only expect a 2 second cameo from her.

I think she should stick with Maxim magazines photoshoots,I prefer her that way

Oh and the 90s Iron man show was really bad.I even prefer the current teenage iron man show to it

Its gettng a season 2 because it has an audience, nobody is forcing you to watch the show.Marvels gamble paid off, no need to hate

It's not that bad of a series either, imo. Sure, Tony is a teenager in this series, but it's not trying to actually dwell into teen aspects as TSSM did.

Gamble? More like they didn't who or what Iron Man/Tony Stark are, except for the "oh he drinks and is a womanizer" B.S. they tried to sell us.

You're right, no one is forcing me to watch the show, that's why I've only seen one episode.

Right, that's all they thought he was, so they took all that out of the story and, I guess did whatever they wanted. Not the best series, but far from the worse. But I understand being protective of a favorite, I hate the Spider-Man movies, then again, Batman isn't a favorite, but I think they did a mediocre job at best on all of those.

Now there's an excellent show. It combines all of Spidey's mythology and adds great writing, voice acting, and animation. A classic.

I don't mind the new Iron Man show that much. It's more plot-driven and mature that I'd thought it'd be. But it would be easier to get into if the show's tone and atmosphere weren't as dull and depressing as hell.

Not a fan of the teen Iron Man show really. Didn't care much for TSSM either. Kinda suprised that even one of them got renewed.

Some aspects of TSSM I enjoyed, but not all of it. I much preferred the first season than the second anyways.

It makes sense that Iron Man got renewed for a second season though. Lately, all of Marvel's projects have been given two seasons. The realization is that will Iron Man be given a third, because all other Marvel cartoons have not been granted such a treat.
