Apocalypse Olivia Munn IS Psylocke!

The top half looks like it had time and dedication put into it, from molding, carving, and final result; at least on the armor part.
The rest however just looks like a cheap bathing suit. And I know a revealing latex costume can work going by how Silk Spectre 2 looked in Watchmen.
It sadly just looks like a bathing suit/workout leotard with a random bodice vest armor that seems to do nothing. Like all the time, energy, and money was spent on the armor thing, not the costume at all.

Now yes, I'm not a huge fan of the swimsuit comic look, there is a way to do it properly.

At least Mingenbach is consistent. This same complaint was levelled against Fassbender's Magneto costume in DOFP.

I'm referring to the material and the cut. The leg stripes are part of the footwear, and it looks as cheap as a lot of cosplays. Other than the armor bodice vest, the whole costume just looks cheap.

It's hard to really tell from the still shots alone, especially because they're not full body shots, but I'm digging the look. Sure, I wish it was a little more ninja-like... That said, according to the interview in EW and screen grabs from the comic-con trailer - there are two costumes to look forward to.

MEANING:

You: Olivia said to Conan that the top is a bit different to the image.

Malik: No, Olivia is not saying the top is a bit different when she's gesturing with her hands regarding the boob (and booty) area. Rather, she's making a humorous observation (ie making a joke) that she isn't as well endowed as comic Psylocke.

NOT:

You: She's dead serious about not being as well endowed as Psylocke.

Malik: Yes, she IS joking about that.

A little of both. Originally she started as a precognitive. Then as a telepath:



She was brainwashed to believe she was an assassin and physically altered to take on an East Asian appearance, where she gained combat skills and learned to form her signature psychic knife before being rescued by wolverine. Later her mind was placed in the body of female Japanese ninja Kwannon with martial arts skills and later acquired the power of telekinesis. There's a lot more in there....her back story is really complicated.

Not entirely true at all. Some fabrics, clothing treatments and structures just don't photograph all that well. The way clothing moves with the body is extremely important and can make something that is cheap or made cheap looks great in person.

I didn't notice any of the DOFP costumes looking particularly cheap in film, so i'm sure everything here will be just as high quality. Love the costume.

It didn't look terrible in promos, no.

And Apocalypse looks superior yes. Psylocke? Nope.

My first time checking in on this forum and y'all did not disappoint. First, Munn is "bland" looking, and then the most faithful costume we've seen in the franchise "isn't accurate."
