Well, I have to say I was disappointed in this movie. However, what disappoints me the most is there is still no chemistry between Lois and Clark in these movies. I didn't feel it in any of the first four movies (III doesn't really count) and I didn't feel it here either.

Anyone who reads the comics knows they are married so would it have been too much to ask that they work some sort of love triangle into this? One things I always loved about the comics is Lois eventually came around to love Clark and not Superman. Then she frinds out who he is and all is right with the world.

I've always hated the fact they "hooked up" in part II as Lois and Superman. She should love him for Clark. Anyone else feel the same way or am I just a rambling lunatic?

well if they hadn't of hooked up in II then we would get Jason the piano boy.

I feel the same way as you do, but in this continuity Superman is the real guy and Clark is his disguise. I know, it sucks and it's boring that way, but we can't change it now.

I still stand by the fact that not making Clark into a disguise wouldnt make it believeable.

The dual identity for Dean Cain's portrayal (based off the postcrisis version) wasnt anywhere close to believeable at all.

And this complaint is ridiculous, Lois gives Clark a hard time and treats him badly in STAS also. In the episode where CK supposedly died in STAS she said something along the lines of he was a nice guy and I wish I was nicer to him or noticed that. The Lois in this film would likely do the same in that situation.

It's kinda hard for her to feel anything for Clark though, isn't it?

remeber the whole lois loves clark thing, has only been around since Bryne superman reboot in the mid 80s. He made clark a "regular" guy, and not a geek thus Lois and him hooked up [watch Lois an Clark to see]. But in the general consesus[as in the way its been for decades before] Lois has always fallen for superman ,and not Clark Kent. Its the the calssic formual thier, and its what most people enjoy more. Clark is not Lois Lanes type, he to quiet anddisappears in dangerous situations. Hes not as brave or interesting as superman, and he is essentially a geek. Clark cannot act like he does as superman, for people will discover his identity.

The only reason Lois "treats" Clark bad in this film or appears to "treat" him bad is because she's an emotional wreck during her time with Clark.

Perry has shoved Superman back into her life. Everyone is talking about him. She has spent five years trying to forget him. She's built something with Richard and Jason that she actually likes.

Then all of a sudden, the man of her dreams literally drops out of the sky and shakes her to the core. Lois is eratic, trying to sort out her feelings. Those feelings don't get sorted until after the night flight scene between her and Superman.

And what's also interesting is that she never has a scene with Clark the rest of the film after that scene.

So again, her "attitude" towards Clark is more about her emotional state at the time and not Clark himself.

The tricky thing in the sequel is to try and get Lois and Clark as a working relationship in some form. But that's going to be even more difficult with Richard there because in this love triangle between Lois, Clark, and Superman, Richard has taken the place of Clark.

This worked extremely well within the context of the film and the circumstances. She doesn't treat Clark bad because she feels nothing for him. It's just that her mind is all on Superman during those times.

And who Disguised as Clark Kent...Mild Mannered Reporter For A Great Metropolitan Newspaper.

Of course, because Superman is the real deal . Mild Mannered Reporter Clark Kent is just the disguise .

Clark's a non-entity in this movie, and his actions can be seen as a little...stalkerish.

I was also hoping they would flesh out his character, especially with the addition of the child.

Again, the romance in this movie was horrible, way too much angst.

How could she fall for Clark if that isn't the "REAL" Clark?

See, the Clark she knows isn't exactly the real him. The real him, atleast...the most real in terms of how comfortable he is, is Superman.

It makes more sense, and means her love is more true, if she's in love with Superman...and not Clark.

Btw, with the love triangle.....it makes Lois out to be more of a moron in the eyes of fans. If she's romanticallu involved with Clark......and was/is with Superman....and she still can't tell the difference? Well......c'mon.......Clark's disguise is believable, but that'd be really really pushing it.

Hey they called Lois The Galacticly Stupid in an episode of Lois & Clark....I believe it was a villain named Tempest.

Clark is such an unnecessary side of Superman in SR. If the whole point of having a civilian identity is being able to have friends and family protected from harm, why does Superman only have a relationship as Superman? People know Lois and Supes are close so she is in danger anyway.

Excatly, If any of you read the comics, You'll know that Lois only start to take notice to The Mild Mannered Reporter Clark Kent, when Clark in the disguise mode, showed he wasn't a push over. In another word he made the move to Go after Lois. He stoped acting like the bumbling weakling reporter. and litte more of Superman in Clark's presona .

Sorry my friend but you've loved the wrong Superman for 18 years. Clark is as much the disguise as the one your mother wears now after having you. Yea, I know it's a lame joke, but so is your opinion.

Deal with it.

With reason.

In this series, including SR, people can more understand why she doesn't know.

Because she doesn't feel that way about Clark, and he's trying to still remain secret......but he still loves her. So, as Superman....he can sort of feel that feeling. Complicated, yes, but it's nice that way.

Which actually kinda pissed alot of people off, me included. I mean.....what's the point in wearing the glasses if the rest of the disguise isn't there? But, I guess DC went that way anyway.

I actully like When Clark stoped acting like a jackass around Lois in the comics. When Clark made the switch, Lois got to know the man behind the Red cape & Blue tights . She fell in love with The God like being from another world first. But then she falls more in love with The Farmboy from smallville who because of his good upbringing by his adopted parents.

Lois never liked Clark. she's always loved Superman. where the hell have you been ??

True....but it seemed to make the glasses unnecessay. I mean, the whole disguise falls apart without the geekiness, ya know?

The glasses was still necessay , because not everyone knew Superman was clark Kent . Besides The geekiness after a while started to get stupid . Not to mention lois not realzing Clark is SUPERMAN .
