Superman Returns Lois' sleeping with Supes

I know I've noticed a lot of people complaining that at the end of Superman 2 there's that "mind wipe" thing and that Lois doesn't know she slept with Superman and now is in the situation of having his kid, and so on and so forth.

The way I've looked at the mind-wipe thing (helps with continuity) is just that Superman made her forget his identity, so that she remembers everything from Superman 2 except that Clark is Superman, so that she does remember sleeping with Superman.

Just wondering if other people have looked at it the same way, since a lot of people brought it up as a big issue.

personally.....I don't think SR includes the FOS love scene and the whole amnesia kiss in its continuity.........

in fact, I don't think SR really draws much from Superman 2........it draw mores from Superman 1.

For example, in the official movie novel, Superman has yet to meet Zod and co. He's only heard about them from Jor-El.

I think in SR's history, Supes slept with Lois as Superman.....and perhaps on the night Lois references in her article "I Spent the Night with Superman" ( perhaps that is the night he took her flying in Superman 1 )

My memories of Supe II may be bit sketchy, but didn't Superman turn himself to human just so he can sleep with Lois? If that's the case Lois didn't technically sleep with Superman but rather Clark Kent. Just a thought.

After she met freakin' Superman, whom I highly doubt she would have counted on meeting when she set her own moral standards for herself. It's not everyday that she'd meet someone who can fly, change the course of the Earth, or bounce bullets off of his skin.

First of all....there is no evidence that that happened (it is just conjecture on one poster's part, thus a hypothetical scenerio)...so it isn't part of known character history.

Secondly...if a person had a habit of sleeping with many men, minutes after meeting them, then a label like that could possible be given to them (again depending upon the person's personal moral views)...but a one time event by a human overcome by the presence of a truely "Godlike" person can be construed as behavior outside the norm and not looked so harshly upon.

Thirdly...for the sake of your future happiness...don't inquire into any of the past realtionships of any women you encounter (I'm not kidding).

The problem is....if it isn't told in SR which parts of the previous movies are now fact and which parts are not....then naturally you are going to have a bunch of confused viewers.
