Once Upon A Time In Wonderland

This looks like In a way a prequel to Once Upon a Time although some of the rumple flashbacks would have preceed the show.

The red queen makes Regina look Conservative.

So I guess the idea to use this show as a bridge between the fall finale and spring premiere for OUAT is out the door.

Unfortunately. Especially because of the **** timeslot it's been given. But in the comments section on TVLine, it was said that they might've avoided airing the spinoff over the hiatus to avoid putting it up against the winter Olympics, which I guess I can understand. But putting the main series and spinoff on two different nights just doesn't make sense to me.

Hope this goes on long enough we see a red Queen/Queen of hearts battle.

I doudt we do.This Is taking place around 18/19 century and Cora being trapped In Neverland Is more a 20th century thing.

Cora was never in Neverland. And you don't know when or how long Cora was there. Time clearly passes much differently in the various fantasy realms, considering that the stories have been told for centuries, but the characters never really aged that much.

This seems like they took a little from American McGees Alice.

This looks so awesome! I know they were clips from OUAT but it was great seeing Jefferson.

One thing I really can't wait for is seeing the writers cook up backstory for Wonderland characters. Where did the Cheshire Cat come from? Who is the White Rabbit? It'll be awesome.

If they go there. A little to much emphasis was put on Alices love for her genie.

Yeah, but they're not gonna do that all season/series. There's a reason it's titled Once Upon A Time In Wonderland and not Alice in Wonderland. I imagine it's going to be the same flashback-heavy type of series, with each episode focusing on a different part of the ensemble.

'Once Upon a Time' to crossover with 'Wonderland' spin-off
by James Hibberd

You had to figure ABC’s Once Upon a Time and its eagerly anticipated upcoming spinoff Once Upon a Time in Wonderland would cross their creative streams at some point.

But you’re not going to have to wait long for elements of one show to appear into the other.

Get this: The first episode of Wonderland currently starts in Storybrooke. We’re sworn to secrecy on details beyond that. But let’s just say that while the two shows will maintain clear and separate identities (it’s important to ABC and the showrunners that Wonderland can stand-alone with its own easily accessible story) this won’t be the last time the world Once Upon mingles over to Thursdays at 8 p.m.

I’m hedging a little about the exact placement of the Storybrooke scene in the Wonderland pilot because, as Once Upon fans know, a full episode has not yet been shot, so the order of the scenes could change from the presentation screened for ABC executives. In fact, we’re told producers only filmed 19 minutes of footage from the story they mapped out in December for the Wonderland premiere episode. That’s pretty rock star — landing a spot on ABC’s fall schedule without even shooting half an episode! See the Wonderland trailer cut from the presentation here.

Wonder how they'll make that work...

I'm not surprised by a cross-over since ABC did that with Grey's Anatomy/Private Practice.

Anyway, the trailer looks good and compare to OUAT, this one looks deeper so I hope its really good. However, the Thursday timeslot is not idea.

I really love how The White Rabbit looks. Those John Lennon shades.

Pretty good cgi/special effects for the wonderland characters.

I do have to wonder how they'll handle the first episode of this. Will they use their 20 minute presentation as the first half of the episode? Does the 20 minutes constitute an episode on it's own and will just have extra material added to flesh it out?

Granted, that's assuming that what we've seen stays intact, though releasing a trailer would lead me to believe it all will.

How does Wonderland fit into the world of Once Upon a Time? — Betty
NATALIE: Let us take a look back to what executive producer Edward Kitsis told reporters before the show was picked up to series: "Wonderland takes place post-curse, so the pilot actually starts when magic comes and the Wraith happens." Note the Wraith, because that's very important to where the spin-off actually picks up, with fans seeing a different character's point of view that won't make you angry. Also look for the spin-off to feature other lands in a mash-up style similar to Once that may make you question who a past character really was.
I'm not sure what the **** to make of these clues...

Keck's Exclusives: Scoop on Once Upon a Time in Wonderland
by William Keck

What can you tell us about ABC's new Once Upon a Time spinoff, Once Upon a Time in Wonderland? — Emily, Provo, Utah

Some familiar Once characters will likely be crossing over into the new world. "I want to hang out with the caterpillar," says Josh Dallas (Charming). "You know, have some tea, have some mushrooms." Emilie de Ravin, whose Belle remains in Storybrooke while her friends are in Neverland, may also be given a ticket to Wonderland. "I'm totally intrigued," says de Ravin, who confirms she remains signed as a series regular to the original show. De Ravin just so happens to top the wish list of Sophie Lowe, who plays Wonderland's Alice. "I love Beauty and the Beast so much I named my cat Belle," Lowe says.

Of course, there will also be new characters. "I've heard rumors that we're going to bring in another very famous male Disney villain who hasn't yet been seen in the Once world," says Peter Gadiot (Cyrus). "He's not from Wonderland but shares a tie to my character." Considering Cyrus is a genie, Gadiot must be talking about Aladdin baddie Jafar. Give that man a flying carpet!

I WOULD SCREAM if Jafar was brought in.

I'm hoping Sidney Glass is Jafar personally... it would explain his villainous side (somebody get him off that damn other show! so he can do it!)

Thanks for the early warning. That way I can explain the high pitched noise coming from the northeast. :o :p

I wouldn't have minded them doing that but since the character became Reginas lackey I wouldn't be happy with what happened in Once since jafar should be able to handle the evil Queen.

I don't think Sidney's Genie was overtly sinister enough to begin with to be Jafar. Best to start from scratch with that character.
