You know, the one of the things that REALLY pissed me off was the idea that Pete and Gwen never slept with each and other
While there was the comics code and all that, (so love making couldn't be approached,) but this WAS the swinging 60's! Stan Lee wrote them as calling each and other 'lover,' all the time! I think it was pretty obvious to all the adult readers at the time...
And while it's debable that Pete/Betty did the nasty, Gwen and Pete were 1st true loves in college as adults. If Pete's the 'everyman,' I can honestly say that every man on these forums made love with the 1st woman they fellin love with as a young adult. In fact the retcon makes the Peter/Gwen relationship a bit 'weird' IMO
What's EVEN WEIRDER, is that it insinuates that while staying with Peter for so long, calling him, 'lover,' and never sleeping with him, Gwen decided to lose her virginity to Norman,

huh

NOT use protection,

huh: ) And run away!
It also retcons the end of Spider-Man: Blue, which is one of the greatest Spider-Man graphic novels of all time
SO many plot holes you can use SP as a net!
