One Year to Midnight

i cant believe they pulled off nite owl....they made him a reality, but kept him true to the comics at the same time. incredible.
Me too. It's amazing.

He's got FEATHERS! :woot:

Wow. Truly amazing.

Comedian and Rorschach especially.

You can barely make it out but Comedian has his scar. It will be interesting to see what changes are made from the 40s to 80s in how the costumes look. That's Nite Owl II. What does Nite Owl I look like?

obviously all of ozzy's mouolded rubber has some uncomfortable association with the old batman costumes. but, lets hope it works out better here.

As long as they get the Adrian Veidt look right I'm fine with the costumed counterpart.

You're right.

And hopefully it will be easier to see if Silk Spectre and Comedian have the same hair color in different lighting, cause I'm not seeing it there. I distinctly remember one panel in the GN with Silk and Comedian where he comments that she looks like her mother except for the hair, and it's blatantly obvious that she has his hair. Foreshadowing FTW!

Incredible. Nice finds, both you and Rez.

I think that they are going to keep him hidden for a while. He'll be like the Joker reveal was for the TDK campaign in importance.

I hope that you're right about Doc Manhattan... If that's the case, we might be in for something special with how they render him. Or maybe it just takes more time with his character?

I think that the pic of Gibbons in front of Dollar Bill's suit is some indication about what the older suits are going to look like (i.e. not all rubberized and armoured and crap).

About the Comedian's scar: it's too bad if they underplay it in the film... post-scar Comedian should really disfigure him a la the comics. Not that I'll storm out of the theater or anything, but it would just be too bad. Maybe they didn't mangle him too much so that when some dude wants to check out the new movie from the guy who made 300, he can get his wife to go along when she realizes that the Grey's Anatomy guy is in it.

"It's blatantly obvious that she has his hair"? Umm.. I agree that Ms. J's Empire Strikes Back moment is foreshadowed in that scene, but I think the "obvious" verisimilitude of their comic book hair is a bit of a stretch.

Why does everyone have to get so riled up about the dumbest fawking **** on these boards? Is it too much to suggest that people can discuss hair in comic books with a little bit of decorum?

Did I seem riled up about it in my post at all? Frankly, you seem a lot more upset about my opinions than I am. :oldrazz: And I didn't use any asterisks in my post, so I think I should be the one talking about decorum, anyway. :cwink:

It was a simple observation, one that I made with the full knowledge that Snyder made so much pains to match the book visually, that I was surprised he missed one that was a clever plot point.

And no, I'm not expecting them to have the same hair color as in the book (cause yeah, that color of sienna is a bit crazy in real life), I'm expecting the two film characters to have the same hair color relative to each other in the film.

I may very well be speaking too soon though. We'll see what the deal is once more photos or video is released.

I was going for a sort of meta-irony. There's just no place for subtlety on these boards.

Well folks, April 6th is just under 2 weeks away. Any guesses to what we'll get for 11 months to midnight? :oldrazz:
