The series will be a crossover between the "Original New Avengers" and an "Ultimate-esque" version of the Transformers currently being used by publisher IDW.

Well, during the Transformers original comic run, was incontinuity with the rest of Marvel Universe. Sort of. The Transformers were from Earth-120185, and had a few guest appearances from other Marvel characters (most notably Death's Head and Spider-Man). Circuit Breaker also appeared in Secret Wars II.

This Transformers/Avengers thing forgets all that and places them in the Marvel Universe proper (616). I think I read that they've been dormant for all this time or something.

Oh, and that preview image is pretty cool.
