I know the primaries are of course: DC and Marvel
and the secondaries are(I think): Darkhorse and Image
but are there any others?

There's tons of smaller indie comic companies out there, the best probably being Top Cow, Dynamite, IDW, and Slave Labor. Archie makes pretty decent all-ages stuff, too.

Those're other comic companies. Other comic industries would be like Japan, Europe, and, uh, well that's about it. Other regions don't really have much of a comics market, they just get stuff from elsewhere. I know the Phantom is very popular in Australia and has his own long running comic there.
