Other than Supes and Hulk and their villains, we have seen some pretty strong characters on screen so far who all have impressive feats of strength behind them on screen. The Thing stopping the truck and saving the firetruck, Juggernaut plowing through walls with ease and throwing Wolverine around with ease, which was also done by Collosus and Sabretooth, Hellboy punching a car right over his head and him and Sammael throwing each other everywere, and the same is done by Spawn and the Violater, Spiderman, Doc Ock and the Green Goblin also have some impressive things on show. But other than the two obvious biggies and their villains, who do you think has been the strongest character, obviously strength-wise, so far in the CB movies?

easy, green goblin, followed closely by spiderman, then the thing, sabretooth doctor octopus, collosus, juggernaut, dr doom and then it's the kingpin

i'm not counting hellboy or spawn characters.

but yeah, it's kinda clear spidey and green goblin are the closest strength wise to the hulk who is now way way way down on superman after city lifting superman in returns

I'd say Drake was stronger than Kingpin, and Hellboy, etc are up there.

Of those listed, I say Doom. He was able to take on the entire FF. The others listed had no such comparable test of strength.

Once again we disagree on strength. I'm not gonna get into the GG/Spidey strength debate w/you again but Doom is clearly stronger than the Thing.

After watching "X-Men: The Last Stand", I'd have to say Wolverine. I mean, he's basically a god in the last scene. Only one that can even get close to Dark Phoenix, even though it contradicts the scope of his abilities in the previous films.

^Well this thread is just talking strength-wise, as in physical strength, not just strength of their powers per se.

And Chris Wallace, what makes you think Doom was actually stronger than The Thing? Just curious.

that would be the idol of millions himself
BEN GRIMM ever lovin' blue eyed THING:thing:

you know I'd have to say Hellboy. But i would like to see the Thing vs Hellboy!

Although not displayed well in the movie- Thing has the superior physical strength

^I tend to agree, the feats Thing performed in the FF movie, although not that impressive show his strength over all the other characters on here IMO.

well there was nothing that doom really did that was impressive except for knock out the thing with a lightening assited poll.

Doom's skin is somehat indestructible i believe and it give reason it's also very good at absorbing impacts which is probably be why for all of the thing's efforts, doom seemed fairly unphased.

With this in mind, i don't think any others from the 'best from the rest' could really make that big of a difference in a similar situation.

however i would say stopping a moving truck dead by just standing infront of it is more significant than anything doom performed by that's just me.

if you want to shed some more light on it from your POV, then by all means feel free.

I think The Thing was stronger, but Doom had more abilities than just strength and was perhaps more durable.

Probably Spiderman, because he caught a fully loaded trolley falling from the air. Momentum adds a lot to weight.

The thing was second for pulling a fire engine back onto a bridge.

^Spidey had done some impressive things in both 1 and 2, stopping the train was quite large for him.

the goblin did the same thing and also held it up single handed for about 300 hours (waiting for spidey to arrive) while tormenting MJ and also prank calling spidey at the hospital.

spidey's hand also started slipping and some can say that is due to the fact he was getting attacked but negating this is the fact spidey has adhesive based powers which should make any sort of slipping of grip virtually impossible. you could debate it either way.

Spidey's grip wasnt slipping, he was just lowering it so that it wouldnt land heavily on the barge.

At least thats what i have always thought that moment was, as, as he is lowering it, you see the barge getting closer in the background.

I've seen it as the barge is hurrying to get to spidey before he drops them in the river since his grip's going

hence the captain and the other dude talking about whether or not they are going to make it (before spidey lets the tram completely go).

but i can see it from your point of view as well...

Well thats why he only lets the tram (or whatever it is!) slip down a certain amount before grabbing it again.

I always thought the bargemen said that because GG was attacking him and the webbing was starting to come off the bottom of the bridge.

I thought he was lowering it to take MJ further out of the Goblin's line of fire, so to speak.
