Overlord - is it any good?

I've heard good things about this game even though it didn't exactly mindblowing scores from reviewers. Anybody got this game? I'm seriously contemplating getting it, but only if the recommendations are good enough.

I'm having a blast. I've not had this much fun with a little fantasy title game since Kameo. Not sure why, but the world and how ppl act and the look reminds me of Kameo. I love it! Highly Recommended!!!!

Watch your castle/tower get repaired as the game progresses. I love how you add stuff to it. It reminds me of the hideout system in the Suikoden games. My tower looks so damn sick. And, I'm one evil mofo. After I've used NPC's for my self gain, I kill them. GOD THIS GAME ROCKS!

The Gester is the funniest guy EVER! His titles shouts for you are downright funny as hell. "Supressor of Gester Free Speech" "Bully of Gesters" "Exploder of Melvin Underbelly" ...so funny.

I'm really enjoying the game. They could have used a Fable-stlye map system, because some areas could really use one, but I'm having fun with it nonetheless. Very good concept and it's handled with great humor.

Haven't played Kameo, but I got a Fable vibe from it.

I just finished playing the Demo, & got it coming from Gamefly. The Demo was pretty interesting. I love the concept. I heard there are like 8 different endings in this game. Eight!

It was alright. The controls were really bad, but that's about it. It would have played better on the PC.

As a person who played it on both the Xbox360 and the PC, I can say that it controlled better on the Xbox360. Personally, I didn't think the controls were bad at all.

It's a good rental/bit-torrent download, but thats it. I wouldn't spend any real money on it.

Well I just got it from Gamefly. Sadly I also Got Orange Box as well, so Overlord will have to wait, but I will say from the demo the controls for me actually worked quite well.
