Watchmen the Movie (I'm sure this is already a thread but i cant find it)

Alrighty, so. I recently finished Watchmen because I was told by a friend without reading it I wasn't a true Indie fanboy. I was appalled, I love recent indies like DMZ and Invicible so I really needed to step it up. I don't think I've ever read a better comic book in my entire life! Such dynamic characters! And what is even better is they released a statement that there WILL be a movie. Like seriously. Mindblowing. I have a link for anyone who wants to read a prototype script, its not very good but the idea of Watchmen movie is very exciting.

I read Watchmen. For all it's hype, I just found it 'okay.' I let a friend of mine read it (English Major, though not a comic reader) and he hated it. It's okay, but not to the level people play it up to. But then, I've heard that if I had read it when it first came out it would have had a bigger impact on me... it's possible I guess. Oh well.

While we're talking Watchmen, do they ever definitively say what exactly happened to Hooded Justice? I know they sort of imply that Comedian killed him, but there's no real rhyme or reason for that.

There's enough rhyme and reason for the Comedian to kill HJ, trust me.

By the way, your friend made you read Watchmen because you didn't like Indie enough? Watchmen is so not-Indie it's unbelievable.
