Parks and Recreation - Part 1

I wonder how filming Guardians of the Galaxy will affect Pratt's involvement in the next season. Hopefully he goes back to his "Zero Dark Thirty" physique to play Star Lord but that would be a drastic change to the Andy character, unless they have him wear padded clothing.

Filming for the season will probably be done by the end of next month. How his involvement might affect a sixth season, should they be lucky enough to get one (fingers crossed), I don't know.

People have filmed TV and movies at the same time. Cobie Smulers did Avengers between HIMYM seasons, so I don't see a reason Pratt couldn't do both.

Yeah, but isn't Guardians filming in the UK? That might be a bit of a commute...

I mean, I'm assuming most filming will be done over the summer hiatus, but still...

Plus they'd HAVE to explain why Andy went from chubster to ripped lol

Ben and Leslie are getting married tonight, y'all!

And the second half-hour airing tonight was directed by Nick Offerman himself! It will probably be very meat-centric.

This show now has the two best Wedding episodes ever on tv.

Fav parts were Ron decking that guy at the wedding and Chris' face when Leslie called him an ugly nerd :D

Jerry standing in the corner after Leslie told him along with no dessert privileges was classic. And him waving off the waiter when he was offering some.

Once again, Andy shows his deceptive intelligence.

The wedding episode might be my favorite of the series now. It had everything, including Ron punching someone in the face and showing how to make wedding rings.

Ron punching that jerkwad was awesome, but it would have been more effective if they lampshaded that part. Like they could have Jamm trying to knock Ron around, and then Ron for a second turning and fuming at the camera. And then they could immediately jump cut to Jamm being taken out on a stretcher and Ron, not a hair out of place, quietly apologizing to Leslie and the rest of the guests over what they had just witnessed.

I liked that they showed it. The quickness of the punch, so manly yet also so down to Earth. Just a quick little jab, but it was all that Ron ****ing Swanson needed.

Naw man, it was a letdown. The first time we see Ron Swanson fight, and it's a one-punch fight?! I wanted some Stone Cold Steve Austin-type boot-stomping action.

That is ridiculous, but I guess people like me are part of the problem, since I watch the NBC Thursday night shows (well, the ones I actually watch, at least), on a delay on dvr.

I want to plant some ficuses in Ann's backyard. :o

Fantastic hour of Parks last night, but it is ugly in the ratings. Don't know where NBC will stick the show next season. They've bottomed out on Thursdays, they have to try something new next season, go with a brand new schedule. We'll get another 13 to 22 episodes out of the show.

Thankfully they're still on the top of their game and not watered down like Community and The Office.

I got to the end of the episode and was ready to come here to ask you guys if I had somehow missed an explanation of how Ron turned Ann's 'sconce' into wedding rings . . .

. . . and then I saw the terrific cold closing segment after the last commercial where Ron explained the whole 20-minute forging process! :yay:

A fantastic capper to one of their best episodes ever!
