Well, this is just stupid. Roger Patterson died, a few years later, still claiming that it was real.

Here's some info. This piece of film has been properly challenged many times over the 40 years since it was captured. Its never been fully discredited. In fact the closer science looks at it, the more compelling it becomes. The main limitation is simply the technology available at the time. You can't improve the resolution of the original film. But the bio-mechanical research that has been done is interesting.

actully it was on a documentary about the worlds greatest hoaxs on sky about 4 or 5 months ago with two guys saying they staged the whole thing, showed the suit and how they did it

possibly there was a 3rd guy who thought it was real

You thinking of the Penn & Teller hoax maybe? That was recent - last summer I think. Different film. I will note also that the serious sasquatch researchers recognized the hoax before P&T revealed it.
