Paul Gulacy, the best Batman comic artist ever!

Wrong, I'm not even a fan of Paul Gulacy. He is good, not great. I have none of his books. Because I never liked the revamping of Hugo Strange.

Paul Gulacy is a very good artist. Not the best, but very good. His art looks Brian Bolland influenced. Yes, Tim Sales is totally overrated.

Many of you seem to be geting a sadistic pleasure at disrespecting this persons favourite artist. Shame on you.
P.S. Jim Lee is overrated.

Seriously, if you are only seeing Paul's work for the first time in this thread and are immediately just saying he sucks, get a life. Pick up one of his comics that I mentioned!!!!

You can't stop people from posting their opinion, postitive or negative. That's the point of these boards. And anyways, why do you shame people for looking at his art and deciding that they don't like it? That's what you do with comic art. You look at it, and if it sucks, you say that it sucks. Also, don't assume that the people who don't like it have never picked up a comic with Gulacy's interiors. I have, and I don't like them. Most of the people who don't like Gulacy own one as well.

Uh, this is an old thread, but I have to say Gulacy is a spectacular artist and I'd love to see him work regularly on the Batman books. Plus, judging by the cover to Terror, he was making teenagers drool over J.Lo's ass (on Catwoman) before anyone knew who J.Lo was.

^^I don't know what you are talking about. Are you refering to his Robin from my first post or the one that was posted by batmaluco? If you are referring to the one that was posted by batmaluco, I agree that one is not too good. That is from 1986. Look at his other pictures of Robin.

I recently e-mailed Paul, and gave him the link to this forum. He e-mailed me back. He didn't want me to post the e-mail but he called every single one of you that said he can't draw losers. And boy do I agree with him. Okay, he may not be the best in your mind but he is in mine, and many others. I was also saying that he is underrated and that he should get more oppurtunities to draw Batman.

He was also given the oppurtunity to draw the Batman Begins comic adaptation, but he turned it down. I wish he wouldn't have. The one that is out sucks. He would have done it so much better.

I'm kind of torn about it.
His lady figures are great and in most panels he does a bang up job. But sometimes he messes little things up.
His art is very detailed, if he'd tone that down a bit he would be even better.
