PAYBACK: STRAIGHT UP – The Director’s Cut isn’t some minor adjustment to sell DVDs – it is a complete overhaul. No Kris Kristofferson, no kidnapped son sub-plot, no boxing match and not any pulled punches. This is a mean sucker punch, gutter dirty, pissed off piece of pulp art! Mel is not “the likable superstar” in this film. He beats the **** out of Deborah Kara Unger in this version, he is straight to the point, no cookie cutter bull****. This is the way a Parker novel by Donald Westlake should be handled.

Sounds kick ass. :meow:

I was a fan of the other way, I have to see how this movie does without the subplot, (which actually led to the conclusion in the first version.)

sounds cool.....

i didnt like the movie alot...

but it seems like i should rent the DC since it sounds like another movie

I agree. I love the first film but this will be a totally different film from the sound of it.

liked the original version, will definitly buy this one :o

Hated the original version and don't see any good reason to watch the new version.

perhaps because it'll be A LOT different?

anyway, I really dug the original, and I'm pretty interested in this.

I've never seen Mad Max or it's sequels, I must get around to that.

The only good one is The Road Warrior. It's like a Pirate movie. But on the road.

I hope when they put it out, it has both versions. I doubt it, but it would be nice.

Cool. I liked the theatrical version but I'm always open to different versions.

I saw this version of the film a few years ago. It is quite different from the theatrical version and is quite good.
