an actor who has insight would be able to acknowledge Doom is probably the Macbeth of the MCU. It is a massive career defining role. Who in their right mind wouldn’t want that part? It would be foolish to NOT accept that role and everything that will come with it. To relegate Doom to being the same as Kylo Ren (and nothing more) shows ignorance, and frankly if that is the case, such an individual doesnt deserve the role. Doom is more than just a “masked villain”. I doubt Driver believes this.

Doom has gravitas and is one of the most intelligent, interesting, and complex characters in the Marvel Universe.. I would argue that Doom is as big a role as Iron Man if not bigger.

I find it much more interesting an intriguing that he play Reed than Doom.

I appreciate that alot of fans minds will jump to Kylo Ren in thinking he'd be wrong for Reed, but he's an actor who's played a variety of roles , and a variety of characters, in a variety of films ,at this point ,from Dramas to light comedy.

I don't see him as just Kylo Ren anymore than I see Rian Johnsons as just "The Director of The Last Jedi" .

But as fans, we always tend to go through this when a well known or outside the box choice is cast for a part.

There are too many names to list here but Ben Affleck, Robert Pattinson, Anne Hathaway, Michael Keaton, even Chris Evans playing Cap, etc.

I'm not saying Driver's got the role , or if he does , that he'll be a perfect fit.

But I've seen the guy act in a variety of roles outside of Star Wars , and they guy is a great actor.

After seeing him in Marriage Story, I could totally see why they would want him to be Reed.

I am not Adam Driver, so I cannot speak to what he is looking for in a role. But if hypothetically he is more interested in playing Reed than Doom, then he isn't wrong to think that. That would just be what he prefers. Just cause you or I would make a different choice doesn't make his choice wrong. At the end of the day, Driver is the man who has to learn the lines and put in the work.

Holy snikes before I thought Adam would be suited for Dr Doom but after these fan arts renditions I can easily see Driver as Mr Fantastic! And Jodie would be great as Invisible Woman. Plus they've worked together before so they would have instant chemistry.

I hope ,that Marvel Studios has it together in terms of casting the new F4 team members by this point , but given all the recent behind the scenes drama at Marvel Studios , I dunno know.

As with everything else , we'll have to wait and see what happens.

Same here. If I were to voice my preference at this point, I would just keep Krasinski cause I don't see why you would just....throw the man in MoM for that only to have an entirely separate person play him in the MCU. You may as well used Ioan Gruffud if you had no plans for Krasinski cause that reference is too inside baseball for people who don't follow fan casting to understand. But, I am also not married to it being him either. Choose whoever is gonna do a great job. I just wouldn't understand the purpose of what they did in MoM is it aint him

Driver would be an interesting choice. I could see it working - he can definitely balance the duelling tracts of antisocial arrogant nerd/loyal lover & father/field commander that Reed contains.

But really, I'm just happy as long as its not Krasinski.

I like Adam Driver also, but I can't see him as Reed Richards. He just seems wrong. Maybe it's cuz he's too skinny to wear a superhero costume. I just saw Adam Driver in a movie recently, where he played Maurizio Gucci in House of Gucci, and I don't think that he played that role so well either. He's supposed to be an incredibly versatile actor, but I think he's so versatile that he winds up not being right for any one particular thing. Anyway, I don't think anyone will ever beat Ioan Gruffodd.

OTOH, John Hamm wouldn't be bad as Reed Richards. And his co-star January Jones from Mad Men would make a pretty good Sue Storm. She has superhero experience anyway. She played Emma Frost in X-Men First Class.
