I think I've figured out the main problem I have with Pedro as Reed, or why its not clicking for me.

They didn't even really try to make him look like Reed. He looks more like Ted Cruz with a mustache and stubble than he does like Reed Richards. View attachment 135663

Ewww....that Ted Cruz is a horrible mental picture of a truly horrible real-life person.

I'd prefer to compare Pascal to Old Hollywood heart throbs like Marlon Brando, Sean Connery, Burt Reynolds, and Clark Gable. He has a charm about him that seems to be having a similar effect on women (and men) today, that those actors had in their hey days.

Pedro was brilliant. I’m glad they kept his Asperger’s even though in this setting he would have been too early to be properly diagnosed. But he really nailed a difficult character

Yeah it seems to be in vogue to hate on him as he is in "everything" but he not only looked the part he nailed the part as man who is super intelligent, cares about the planet and his family but over thinks situations to the point of annoying his wife at the expense of everyone else.

I can see why he is in a lot of things, because he's good, simple as that.

Loved the way they handled his character. Absolutely spot on. Humanized him while showing the parts that separated him from everyone else.

They handled his powers in a very tame way, but there is at least one significant stretching scene that stood out.
