A couple weeks ago, my dad randomly Googled my name (I'm in a university far from where they live, and he just wanted to see what my name brought up). And he got this live-journal entry that a former roommate wrote about me. It was... unflattering, shall we say. I'm a "despicable person", according to him.

Flash forward to now. On a whim I google my name, and it comes up in another live journal, this time by my former roommate's current roommate. More of the same.

I'm a little confused about what to do now. I'm involved in projects with both of them, and I don't think I can take being around people whom I know for a fact despise me.

You should print it out and confront them with it. I personally think that, if you're gonna talk $hit about somebody behind their backs, you shouldn't bring the internet into it. I'm sure Windows does not want to be involved.

Sounds like you've been living up to your motto.

Maybe you are indeed a despicable person. lol

Confront them. If they reveal there are things about you they don't like about you, either change or get new friends. Its that simple.

I get nothing when I google my name. :csad: :cmad:

Agreed.

I actually posted a comment on his journal an hour ago. He came to me and apologized right after that. He was just really stressed when he wrote that, and his defense, I was being a bit mean to him. He doesn't really have a problem with me, he just needed to vent. We talked and we're cool.

And "everything you hate" is a line from the film:

Kane: You know, Mr. Bernstein, if I hadn't been very rich, I might have been a really great man.
Rich Old Prick Thatcher: Don't you think you are?
Kane: I think I did pretty well under the circumstances.
Rich Old Prick Thatcher: What would you like to have been?
Kane: [turns to him and smiles] Everything you hate.

I still wouldn't trust him. Taking things to the net is going a bit far.

Take this from someone who has had a hate Myspace account and hate Myspace group. Forget them. Do your project and forget about them. They're not worth your time or energy

I've done that to the people I come into contact with most, and what kind of made me happy was that someone who affects our future in the acting industry came by and basically degraded them if they planned on being serious in the industry.

My short term meomry is shot,I didn't remember posting in here. :csad:

Confront them... don't be up in their faces.

I'd just go up and say "If you hate me so much, tell me. Saying crap behind my back is going to help you get your problem with me solved."

^ No really, it's cool now. And we both live in a dorm. On the same floor. In the same hallway. Now lets' reconsider that dog poo idea...

You should always do something, never let people speak about you when your not around.

what about the other guy?

and ****, I just opened a pack of Ritz crackers and the first one looks like it was bitten into. Mother****er!!!:cmad::cmad::cmad:

Considering 2 people had unflattering things to say about you, regardless of one of them apologizing his actions, maybe you should take a closer look at yourself?

Write nasty livejournals about them. Not under your name of course. Then be all "look what I stumbled upon! Teh appalling!"
