Phase 3 Release Schedule Finalized

Any issue people have with it could be alleviated a bit with a subtitle of some kind.

It's beyond dumb, but yea it'd be brought up for sure. There is an outrage culture who don't let anything just go by. Honestly I wouldn't pay them an iota of attention though.

I doubt anyone would really have a problem with a character who's gone by that name since the 60s. Seems someone got a little too PC with that call.

I wouldn't want them to change it but i could see them doing it for political correctness

BET, also known as Black Entertainment Television, had no problem airing the motion comic titled Black Panther. Just throwing that out there.

That's an excellent point.

I wouldn't either, but it doesn't change the fact that it isn't an issue worth considering. Sweeping it under the rug doesn't accomplish anything.

Marvel Cinematic Universe Phase Three

Ant-Man
July 17, 2015

Captain America 3
May 6, 2016

Doctor Strange
July 8, 2016

Thor 3
May 5, 2017

Black Panther
July 28, 2017

Guardians of the Galaxy 2
November 3, 2017

Captain Marvel
July 6, 2018

Inhumans
November 2, 2018

The Avengers 3
May 3, 2019

:D
2018 makes no sense. Why would they do two originals in one year without a sequel to fall back on?

Also do we know if 2017 is 3 films or if they moved the May date. If Episode VIII is fast tracked, and it can be with a different director, it could hit May 2017.

Didn't expect that the storyline for The Avengers 3 would be BIGGER! Now the real question is, will Mr. Downey Jr. appear on the films leading to the final arc a.k.a. Avengers 3?

Maybe a cameo perhaps?

I do want a Iron Man 4 movie in Phase 3.

Where are people getting this third 2017 movie from? These are the release dates as announced on the Marvel website: July 28 and November 3, 2017; July 6 and November 2, 2018; and May 3, 2019.

You missed the May 5, 2017 release date that was announced last year?

I think Black Panther and The Inhumans are likely the new movie adaptations seeing as those two are what Feige has talked about developing over the last few years but who knows. Marvel might do another slightly obscure property like Guardians Of The Galaxy.

I don't think these dates are all for Phase III movies, they announced them along with the dates of the remaining Phase II films.

I think a Black Panther movie firts November much more, being a darker superhero, set in Africa and all of that.

I doubt they will release it in the summer, like any of their previous mainstream heroes

There's no way Avengers 3 drops in 2017 (way too soon) and 2018 doesn't have a May release (I don't see them moving Avengers away from the spot that's worked best for Marvel to date). That 2019 release lines up perfectly with Marvel's preferred big ticket release spot. I also can't see them announcing Phase 4 films when we're still in Phase 2. I think we really are getting a four year Phase 3.

I have two sets of predictions, or three I guess, dependant on rumour.

My Prediction:

July 17, 2015 - Ant-Man
May 6, 2016 - Captain America 3
July 8, 2016 - Dr. Strange
May 5, 2017 - Thor 3
July 28, 2017 - Black Panther
November 3, 2017 - Captain Marvel
July 6, 2018 - Guardians Of The Galaxy 2: Planet Hulk
November 2, 2018 - Avengers 3: Part 1
May 3, 2019 - Avengers 3: Part 2

Spoilered the other two so the post isn't too long.
OR:

July 17, 2015 - Ant-Man
May 6, 2016 - Captain America 3
July 8, 2016 - Dr. Strange
May 5, 2017 - Thor 3
July 28, 2017 - Black Panther
November 3, 2017 - Captain Marvel
July 6, 2018 - Guardians Of The Galaxy 2: Planet Hulk
November 2, 2018 - The Inhumans
May 3, 2019 - Avengers 3

However, if Hulk ISN'T in Guardians 2:

July 17, 2015 - Ant-Man
May 6, 2016 - Captain America 3
July 8, 2016 - Dr. Strange
May 5, 2017 - Thor 3
July 28, 2017 - Black Panther
November 3, 2017 - Captain Marvel
July 6, 2018 - Guardians Of The Galaxy 2
November 2, 2018 - Incredible Hulk 2
May 3, 2019 - Avengers 3

If The GOTG team up with the Avengers in A3, I think they should put GOTG2 as the movie before A3. End it on a cliffhanger with Thanos coming to earth or something like that.

A thought occured to me while looking at some Spider-Man rumblings. What if (and keep in mind, this is a huge what if that I myself am not necessarily sold on) Marvel Studios IS only putting out two 2017 movies... but a Marvel/Sony co-production of Spider-Man is coming out in that previously known May slot. TASM3 did get pushed back to 2017 recently...

I was just thinking about this and would not totally dismiss this as a possibility. It could be a huge win for both studios if done right.

A huger win for Sony than Marvel. They've proven they can create a billion dollar franchise. Sony hasn't. I don't see Marvel agreeing to it.

Spider-Man is a multi-billion dollar franchise. You must you mean a billion dollar single movie.

I'm hoping one of these Phase 3 movies is Nova, the real Nova not the kid.

-One thing that I think needs to be taken into account is that Marvel has been trying to balance their more "far-out" sci-fi and fantasy properties with the more grounded ones. So I wound up leaving the Inhumans film out of my theory. I'm having them introduced in GOTG 2, then having an important role in Infinity Guantlet. End it with them dropping a Terrigan Bomb and the first Phase 4 film can be Inhumans, showing them dealing with the aftermath.
May 6, 2016: Captain America: Born Better

July 8, 2016: Doctor Strange

May 5, 2017: Captain Marvel

July 28, 2017: Thor: Ragnarok

November 3, 2017: Black Panther

July 6, 2018: Iron Man 4

November 2, 2018: GOTG 2

May 3, 2019: Avengers: Infinity Gauntlet

I would say not a chance. I don't think Marvel would want to associate themselves with The Amazing Spider-man franchise, for control issues (I also don't see Sony execs ceding control to anyone) and because TASM2 just failed critically.
