Comics Phoenix - Warsong

Read Warsong #2 today, and I did like it and will continue to read it.... LOVED the last page, but I do have one question, which is not that major of a spoiler, but I will tag it anyway, just incase...
Why is this series called "Phoenix" Warsong... when it has very little, so far anyway, to do with the Phoenix, and Emma just keeps telling us how it is NOT the Phoenix in the cuckoo's...
I di like the story, but I find the title very misleading, unless things are gonna change in the last 3 issues....
It should of been called "The Stepford Cuckook's - Warsong"

Been there done that. I didnt like the last issue. This series feels like such a waste

PhoenixWillRise, as for your question, the answer is simple
The name Phoenix sells. Endsong sold out and was a success. Advertising this as a sequel and having Phoenix on the cover is done as a marketing ploy to sell issues. They did not have to do this and this should have been called X-men: The Stepford Cuckoos, but I doubt that would have sold as well

Just finished the endsong book yesterday and definitely liked it. Can't wait for the complete warsong book. Meanwhile, was there a prequel for endsong, did it pick off from another x-men comic?

It features the Astonishing X-Men team, and references events from New X-Men, but it's not an actual sequel or continuation of anything.

I have to say I like the story but seriously why relate it to Phoenix. Well I suppose the next 3 issues could answer that question.

It was definitely much better than the first issue. I loved the witty lines from Hank and Logan's humorous recklessness. Fortunately, I managed to look past the art and enjoy the story. If they keep this up, then this might just be worthy of a *continuation to said predecessor.

*Figuratively speaking.

is this issue worth buying lol???????
ummm can someone message me a summary with spoilers of what happen in this issue?

LOL Yeah thats what I did. Anyway, I called my local comic store and they didn't even have it yet, at least she said someone just got it :whatever: . They didn't even have Cilvil War :csad: . Then she had the nerve to reccomend Spiderman..:wow: .

hmmm, lets wait to issue 3, it may clarify our doubts....

Wait, so are you saying
Jean/Phoenix will hardly be in the run? :csad: But-but I was willing to pay attention to Jean more this time around.

No. that isnt even emma. that the girls in the tubes because that is where they oringnated from. Weapon X. There are thousands of them with their capabilites.

I doubt it's gonna be throwing herself in front of oncoming traffic people.

I have a strong sinking fear that she's gonna make the decision to....take the Phoenix within her from the girls. :(

I'm guessing she's gonna have to decide between killing the Cuckoos clones or letting them live, something like what Ritsuko did in Evangelion with the Rei clones.

I like that cover, but it looks like they put too much collagen in that Cuckoo's lips.

And I'm wondering one thing. If Decimation was suppossed to depower 90 percent of the mutants, are these incubating Cuckoos going to have powers?? I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Well she already is "blonde Jean" it is logical they want to give her Jean's powers too

I'm begining to wonder if they are actually mutants. The whole world arc in Morrison's run confused the hell out of me.

Please don't say that!!
No no no.

Well like you've been saying she will try to be phoenix again, and take the power from the annoying cuckoos and then be like look at me blah blah. Hopefully somwhere inbetween Jean will come back kick Emmas ass and show her who is truly Phoenix and we will never seen Emma trying to be a 'blonde Jean' again.

thats why i don't read comics...i like the nostalgia. Jean with Cyclops, Rogue and Storm being a part of the team, Gambit...i read Endsong, it's good, but feels really worn out...and now they come with Warsong, which makes it even more. Not really reading this to see Emma take on Jean's character.

How good would it be if they decided to bring back the TAS team. :( i would read comic with pleasure. :(

^OMG I would SOOO read it. At least Emma isn't in there.
