Jean is the PHOENIX to which she controls the unsentient phoenix force which is not an entity. It's exactly what has been established by Claremont in the original Phoenix and Dark Phoenix Sagas, the Classic back up issues, and what was restored by Grant Morrison and Phoenix Endsong and various other issues.

So right now, in this moment of the history, what is the phoenix??, an entity that needs a host??? or a state of Jean Grey powers???

The Phoenix is Jean Grey tapped into and becoming a force of creation, passion and life. This unsentient force is therefore called the 'phoenix force' and is just like any other force like magnetism, gravity, etc. She is the avatar. Power incarnate.

All feelings aside,i love Emma's costume.That Emma-Phoenix might actually be Perfection!?!

Except Emma's not wearing white gloves all Phoenix'd up like. Now Jean on the other hand did wear white gloves at one point as the Phoenix.

Phoenix Warsong:Where were learn that while not only are Jean and Phoenix one entity but so are Jean and Ororo, Scott and Remy, Logan and Kitty, Hank and Kurt, Angel and J. Jonah Jameson.....and the big reveal is that the Mansion achieved sentience and Xavier kept it captive because his students need a place to live.
