I think that the Cookoo's are gonna get power hungry with the phoenix force throughout issues 1-4.... then in the last issue, #5.... THE PHOENIX herself, JEAN, will return to whip their asses and remove the Phoenix force from them!

That would be cool ... They abuse the power and it comes back to bite them in the ass!

Yeah, didn't one of the writers mention that in an interview?

I am interested in seeing what they do with it... the whole Weapon XIV (i think) thing came out of left field.

I was hoping they were actually Pieces of Jean that were created the First Time she died and as the Cuckoo explanation suggests no one was the wiser. The Shi'ar did not know to wipe them out etc. Even though they are a hive mind how the hell do they control a Force that only Jean and her line can wield???

i think dark phoenix is pulling the cuckoos strings and emma is being helped by jean...emma has hosted the phoenix, so she may still have something small inside of her...jean senses the dark phoenix presence in the cuckoos, so she's influencing emma, because she knows it is not time for her to personally come back and deal with the dark side of the phoenix...

or maybe, the fact that the three-in-one do have three minds, maybe they over power the weakened dark phoenix persona, so the DP seeks out emma in an attempt to regain control over the cuckoos

The idea of the Cuckoos being actual cuckoos...planting a trap in a songbird's nest, ie the Phoenix's...and never revealing themselves until it's too late...that's pretty cool too. It seems like their purpose for being at the mansion in the first place was to infiltrate the "nest" and steal the Phoenix Force itself.

I'm excited.

The idea of the Cuckoos being actual cuckoos...planting a trap in a songbird's nest, ie the Phoenix's...and never revealing themselves until it's too late...that's pretty cool too. It seems like their purpose for being at the mansion in the first place was to infiltrate the "nest" and steal the Phoenix Force itself.

I'm excited.

If so, one must wonder who sent the Cuckoos there in the first place. Given the Weapon X remarks, and the fact that the 5 could easily have been the 4 clones of 1 person, I'd say it's Sinister.

I liked that alot too. I really enjoy it when creators bring in new elements to a character(s) that revolves around their name. Another recent example is PAD giving Siryn the ability to alter her voice to make other people obey her like the Siryn's of ancient mythology.

I think that hand is Sophie's or Esme's too but I'm glad they're not forgetting Jean by showing her grave. Please, bring her back!!

well maybe they are killing Cyke cause the comics like to copy the movies sometimes. Like the comic mystique looked all scaley and naked like movieverse Mystique for awhile. So, Cyke die in movies and now they are into doing it in the comics... i hope not

If they were going to kill Scott, they'd do it in one of the main three books, not an mini series that we don't know when or where it falls in with the rest of the stories.

Ok so far i don't really like what there doing just annoys me as they say Jeans the Phoenix and then they do that. So i so hope so much that the hand there is Jean i hope so much it is and she is going to take the phoeinx force away from them again and everything goes back to normal.
Stupid cuckos.

Or that hand it could be the one that died Esma or whatever her name is. I still hope its Jean its a Phoenix story so she has to be in it some how.
