So, you wanted to change the costumes and defy all continuity, consistency, practicality, logic and sanity?

The F4 costumes and Xmen costumes are two very different entities and serve different purposes.

The F4 are celebrities. The Xmen are not.

The only reason they are the 'same' in comic book format is because they were drawn for that very reason.

That's one sign that that pic is definitely unfinished. You can't see through him, yet.

I'm kinda new to SHH and I've read lots of complaints about Iceman's appearence here and think that because of budget restraints it was much cheaper to do the "Human Torch" blue version of Iceman than one everyone is more familiar with. Like it was said before it's not to late to make changes.

I'm right there with you brotha... I think the FF costumes should have been the next "evolution" of the X-Men's costumes. And they may not be celebrities, but a cross between the leather and the "unstable molecules" outfit would have been suitable in a lot of cases... Depending on their powers and rank. A good example of that are the costumes from the Ultimate X-Men comics. If anyone cares to post some good examples of Ultimate X-Men costumes, we can all compare this difference.... Thanks.

fantastic four was meant to be a light hearted movie, the colorful costumes work for it
kinda the same with spiderman, and even though it has its dark moments, spiderman isnt a suit you can change and still be spiderman
xmen is a darker movie, and they have all worn black in the comics, its not that weird

the look i can live with, what i have problems with is the iced up leather costume.

True one can say that his costume has been adapted to allow for his powers to manifest but i would have preferred to see him busting out of his costume 80s iceman animation style...

freezing it and exploding it out, leaving him in shorts. leather is restrictive enough let alone frozen leather.

i mean if mystique can walk around naked in full blue, then i don't know why a bobby drake in shorts isn't possible..

Which is exactly why I think in the movie he has limited ability to turn things into organic ice as well. Like his uniform...Either that or the uniform is designed to work with his powers.

Even if it was created to adapt to his powers, I doubt if they'd explain that in the movie.

I think the way how they made Iceman ice up looks great, in motion it can only get much better. As for the costumes.. they are perfect.

A: It identifies them as a team by not mixing in to much color

B: IMO leather is always cool.. specially if your a superhero.

Oh ok. Did not know that. I do not check up much about the X-Men 3 movie.

But that report of "see right through him" was some time ago...Last year I think.

It's possible that they could've changed up Iceman's effects for the final product...I'm keeping an open mind..
