Gah, I wish she would have given us more Harry Potter books instead of that dumb 19 Years Later Prologue. Harry was supposed to be an auror. How in the hell could she not come up with some more material for more books? I doubt Voldemort was the only dark wizard in the wizarding world.

Honestly if I wrote seven books that were massive best sellers (along with various supplementary materials), 8 movies and a lot of other stuff including a theme park, I'd retire too. She did leave it open in case she wanted to keep going sometime in the future or if she was willing to sign off on someone else doing it.

But she didn't retire. She's wrote 3-4 other non-Potterverse books with more on the way, lots of material for pottermore, and is now writing the screenplay for the first Fantastic Beasts film. And she didn't write the screenplays for the 8 Harry potter films. She was only a consultant and that wasn't full-time.
