Probably, isn't that when the AWE trailer came out? Seems like it was quite a few months before it came out anyway.

AWE only had one trailer from what I remember. Hopefully they gives us 2 at least.

LOVED him in CotBP
Liked him in DMC
Tolerable in AWE


And, Jack turned from a rum soaked, self serving, coniving, and cunning pirate to an absolute goof.

He was above average in COTBP, he was ok in AWE.

But I absolutely hated him in DMC... in fact I hate the whole DMC.

The AWE trailer came out only a couple months before the movie did. I think we'll get one sooner than that.

I don´t mind if elizabeth and will don´t appear but it makes a plot hole if Pintel and Raghety don´t appear, they were one of the pirates that knew about the fountain of youth, after i saw PotC:AWE i remember becoming ancious for the 4th, the end of the film when jack looks to the chats with the fountain of youth had a sound so important, i wouldn´t want it to end there with such a cliff hanger.

The AWE trailer was released 1 month before the movie came out.
But that was more to do with the fact that the post. prod period for AWE was shorter then DMC yet they had far more bigger shots to complete. They were literally working around the clock to finish everything. Hence why there was only 1 trailer and also so close to the release date.

I dunno how long they will be shooting On Stranger Tides nor do i know just what kind of VFX they will have. Hopefully it won't be a rush project like AWE .

The AWE trailer came out so late (March 2007) because they didn't really need to advertise it as they just had a Pirates movie come out 10 months before.

This film will advertised more like DMC to announce that there is a NEW Pirates movie coming out. The teaser for DMC came out November 2005 so I assume it will probably be around the same time this year. Most likely with Tron Legacy in December.

Yeah, I definitely hope they're taking their time. I heard Blackbeard's crew are zombies, so they might be shooting them like they did DJ and his crew... other than that, I don't have any idea what to expect in terms of VFX.

Well...you can't lie, it did contribute to them being stale...it's like all those action sequences or fights meant nothing since they couldn't die...

Zombie pirates? You can't go wrong with zombies. Rick Grimes should just swing in on a rope and shoot the bastards.

I agree with that! Although I love and thoroughly enjoy all three films, I did think At World's End was stale compared to the previous two installments.

I always used to think that in the first film Jack was a cursed pirate the entire time. Then recently it hit me. He snuck the gold piece when he was talking to Barbossa to be cursed and to be equal when fighting. Took me seven years to figure that out. And he freaking had the coin spinning around in his fingers.

You could see Jack turn into a skeleton when fighting Barbossa in the first one. He then threw the coin into the pile, Will added his blood, and Jack shot Barbossa...killing him.
