Who would like the see a Pixar animation done in the same style of say "Incredibles" of The X-Men?

Now before you answer Pixar this, "tee hee" - The X-Men movies have been a huge success but there were mostly marketing to the older generations. Those who grew up with them and want to see the dark gritty social issues brought up in x-men world. For that we have Bryan Singer to thank for that. But to me X-Men in the comics have been about two things 1. The social thing i mentioned a moment ago and 2. simply good guys vs bad guys with superpowers for all. Thats what made the animated series quiet good. In its own concept it was socially dark, yet comically light.

Now Pixar have some great animators and animations, my favorite being Toy Story and Incredibles... i liked Up as well.

What if we took the simpler design of the x-men, the bright costumes, the comical nature, still retain some social issue but make a movie more about good guys vs bad guys.

I think it would be a pretty good idea. i mean Incredibles worked very well. It was essentially Fantastic Four without actually say they were the Fantastic Four. But i figure its more of a homage to that.

So... i was looking at possible cast line ups. And when you think about it, you could essentially have the original five play the feature characters and still keep the excitement. Hugh Jackman played a big part to x-men success. But in a Pixar world a Wolverine is simply too violent but the character would look nothing like hugh jackman you wouldnt even figure that it was Wolverine. He would have to be too soft to fit in a Pixar movie aimed at kids. So the original cast would be good.

Then i started to think about first class and well that really makes more sense, i know bryan singer is going to do first class but if they hadnt of green lit the live action then this would of been a perfect project for Pixar.

Which brings up another question... Now the newly merged "Dis-mal" Disney and Marvel - What would peoples reaction be towards Bryan Singer directing a Pixar animated X-Men First Class?

this is all rambling thoughts of mine but what do you think. Remember its not aimed at adults, but kids. Well most of the Pixar stuff is aimed at both, its a kids movie with inside jokes to keep the parents happy who are dragged into watching the thing.

I think this would be awasome! just keep the original five members of both brotherhood and x men and put in some cameos!

Someday Pixar should do a Comic Book Adaption of summat... But It should NOT be X-Men.

Bone, maybe...

X-Men is owned by Fox...not Disney/Pixar. So, we won't see a Pixar X-Men movie until Disney owns the franchise. You may see a Dreamworks one...vomit.

I don't think this is feasible (creating an X-Men-like team without calling it the X-Men). When The Incredibles first came out, people could only draw parallels between it and the Fantastic Four comics since there wasn't a Fantastic Four movie out at the time to compare with. With this idea of yours, not only will people undoubtedly compare it with the X-Men movie franchise, it will also be compared against The Incredibles. In other words, they would have to one-up their own product without the benefit of using the much loved characters of said movie. Why would they want to do that?

Well, Pixar has been looking to start doing more "serious" movies, so doing Marvel movies would be the best oppurtunity.

I would love it if Pixar created a splintered branch off of itself under a different title that specialized in Marvel adaptations, with X-men being their first movie.

let them do Mario and the struggle of being a plumber and balancing the mushroom kingdom

I like Pixar....

but I preffer a kind of animation more like the Wolverine & the x-men series....

something like that with a more modern design would be perfect.

it would be cool to see, def wouldnt mind it!

Essentially this is targeted for the kids not the older fans.

Pixar presents... "X-Men"

Think about it, think of how Incredibles was panned out but more serious yet x-men comedy like in the comic.

Intriguing...

Part of me says yes because Pixar doesn't know how to make a bad movie and they rock....

But X-men has an edge to it, not overly heavy--though it can be at times--not overly light hearted, if ever. Pixar may distill the X-men into standard superhero fair of sorts., X-men should never be standard superhero fair.

Still, the temptation...and I'm sure there are tons of Marvel fanboys working at Pixar that are chomping at the bit to work on one of Marvel's properties.
