Who would like the see a Pixar animation done in the same style of say "Incredibles" of The X-Men?
Now before you answer Pixar this, "tee hee" - The X-Men movies have been a huge success but there were mostly marketing to the older generations. Those who grew up with them and want to see the dark gritty social issues brought up in x-men world. For that we have Bryan Singer to thank for that. But to me X-Men in the comics have been about two things 1. The social thing i mentioned a moment ago and 2. simply good guys vs bad guys with superpowers for all. Thats what made the animated series quiet good. In its own concept it was socially dark, yet comically light.
Now Pixar have some great animators and animations, my favorite being Toy Story and Incredibles... i liked Up as well.
What if we took the simpler design of the x-men, the bright costumes, the comical nature, still retain some social issue but make a movie more about good guys vs bad guys.
I think it would be a pretty good idea. i mean Incredibles worked very well. It was essentially Fantastic Four without actually say they were the Fantastic Four. But i figure its more of a homage to that.
So... i was looking at possible cast line ups. And when you think about it, you could essentially have the original five play the feature characters and still keep the excitement. Hugh Jackman played a big part to x-men success. But in a Pixar world a Wolverine is simply too violent but the character would look nothing like hugh jackman you wouldnt even figure that it was Wolverine. He would have to be too soft to fit in a Pixar movie aimed at kids. So the original cast would be good.
Then i started to think about first class and well that really makes more sense, i know bryan singer is going to do first class but if they hadnt of green lit the live action then this would of been a perfect project for Pixar.
Which brings up another question... Now the newly merged "Dis-mal" Disney and Marvel - What would peoples reaction be towards Bryan Singer directing a Pixar animated X-Men First Class?
this is all rambling thoughts of mine but what do you think. Remember its not aimed at adults, but kids. Well most of the Pixar stuff is aimed at both, its a kids movie with inside jokes to keep the parents happy who are dragged into watching the thing.
