Soul Stone ?!?!?!?
It's with the Sovereign; Ayesha is powering Adam Warlock's birthing pod with it.
Do we have confirmation that Thanos gets all of the stones in IW?Adam Warlock isn't showing up until GOTG 3 (Gunn confirmed this), so this wouldn't work.
And despite so many people thinking Adam will show up in Vol 3 that is something that we have never confirmed. Who knows how long it will take him to bake in that cocoon. That said, I love Adam. But the time must be right.
Do we have confirmation that Thanos gets all of the stones in IW?
Edited to add: When did Gunn confirm Warlock for GOTG3? All I can find is this from November:
Except he doesn't say it it will be after GOGT3; all he said was "Who knows?" while refusing to confirm anything. It could be later, it could be sooner.I forgot Gunn clarified the Adam Warlock appearance, basically he's saying there that Warlock could still potentially be in the cocoon by GOTG 3. Regardless, GOTG 3 isn't coming out until after Infinity War and Avengers 4 so the Infinity Stones storyline will more than likely be resolved by that point.
Curiously, why exactly, or where exactly is it stated that Thanos will have collected all the stones in Infinity War? If he ever does in fact manage to collect them all; it's possible that he wont get them all, or he'll be missing one or two until Avengers 5.
I guess the problem with that is that they'd need to release Vol. 3 before Avengers 5, and that isn't happening. Maybe Thanos simply isn't going to manage the full set?![]()
Yeah, sorry. Avengers 4. I'm getting ahead of myself a bit.You mean Avengers 4? And yes you're correct, we don't know for sure if he will get them all in Infinity War...but I have a feeling he will...otherwise it seems odd that all the merchandising pictures shows him with all the stones.
True merchandising shouldn't be an indicator of what is shown in film (i.e. Lego), but to me the perfect way to end the film would be with Thanos getting all the stones and winning. I forget where I saw this (either this forum or another) but someone thought a good way to end Infinity War would be using that panel from the beginning of Infinity Gauntlet where Thanos snapped his fingers and instantly killed off half of the universe. They can have Thanos snap his fingers then cut to black (though I bet there would be a percentage of people would get pissed at that lol).Yeah, sorry. Avengers 4. I'm getting ahead of myself a bit.
It is true that merchandise shows Thanos with a complete set, but then Thanos merchandise likely would be incomplete if he didn't have the full set - that, and by giving him the full set via merchandise, but not via he cinematic feature would be an interesting spin on events.
We've seen (via trailers and teasers) that Thanos has, what? Three of the stones? I honestly can't see how he can be defeated (from a MCU perspective) if he has the entire set active at once; he could literally tear open the entire universe and not one of the Avengers is powerful enough to stop him, even if one tries, all Thanos has to do is stop and/or reverse time.
For the MCU deal, it wouldn't surprise me if Thanos never has a full set, and that one (or more) of the other stones are actually used to defeat him.
I'd have thought such a scene would be better for the first of the end credit scenes.True merchandising shouldn't be an indicator of what is shown in film (i.e. Lego), but to me the perfect way to end the film would be with Thanos getting all the stones and winning. Still begs the question of how someone like that (with that much power) can be defeated. None of our Heroes are remotely tough enough!
