pop-up windows bogging down SHH

I've been browsing the forums this morning at home and at work, and I'm having issues with embedded pop ups coming though the Hype BBoards. At work on a non-firefox browser (but still has a pop up browser), a couple of them overwhelm the page, and at least twice crashed my browser. Can someone see which advertiser is doing this? I don't mind banners, but when it crashes takes away from viewing these pages, it frustrates the living hell out of me.

Anyone else currently having issues with pop-ups?

I just had my virus detector go off from something as I was posting on the Forums. I was on my work PC, and this was the only site I was browsing at the time (I'm posting this from my phone). I hope it's not related, just wanted to drop an FYI.

In the past couple of months I've been getting pop-ups from the Hype. Most of them are being blocked, but some are getting through, although I'm not really getting any issues with the site crashing.

I keep having adult themed "dating" banners popping up at work, but not on my home computers.

As far as my work PC goes, I spoke with my companies IT guys, and got the go ahead to install Firefox as a browser in place of crappy Internet Explorer.

geez, even I figured out how to stop them. FF+ adblock and no script

even firefox doesn't stop them sometimes.
