relax i'm j/k about that second one

Imageshack wouldn't make this any bigger for me ... grrrr ... :cmad: But I always loved this pic, the way he made himself one with the tracks to save the people. But there are so many great images, this is just one of many that I love. :yay:

^That's a good one

..you meant like this ?

i REALLY love the idea of getting rid of Lois...it's about time...

...yeah...im still wondering if they took the idea from Alex Ross' 'Peace on Earth'...theres not that much difference...

plus, i've always loved the classic...'he stands for Truth, Justice AND the American Way' theme...

and the first time Superman flew in the Fortress of Solitude...

and when he flew out of Luthor's hide-out through the roof...seeing him as a child...it was awesome...and those images still lives in my memory...

there are a lot of Superman images that stands out...at least for me...

Nice pics everyone keep them coming

...the way they tweaked that image of Supes crashing the car into saving a car was sooooo lame...he should have seen Supes throwing a car and smashing it into some wall nearby...

Yeah, thanks. For some reason it wouldn't do it when I was trying.

I tend to prefer pics of him saving people or contemplative pics of him in the fortress of solitude, or even the traditional poses - rather than pics of him kicking some supervillain's hiney. They're not that easy to find though.

Check out this one. How adorable is this. I still love the Schuster artwork. :o I actually prefer it's old timey look and simplicity to the more steroidal versions of Superman or overly detailed stuff like Alex Ross does.

Edit: It wouldn't enlarge this one either. :cmad: I think it hates my browers. If someone wants to resize it, that would be great. It's a great cartoon of Clark as a baby. :yay:

does anyone have a picture of clark as a child lifting a car, i think that picture is fairly iconic

I like this image for the Supes/Lois thing. Lois probably found some way to get in trouble. Plus it looks like her shoe collection has a casualty.

This was in the costume thread.

I love this type of Superman; the Swan, Frank or Ordway style. I don't like the Ross or overly muscley-steroid type. Heck, I'd even take Siegel over those. In fact, I'm happy with even less muscle than this one. But I love the whole, All-American look of this style and the hands on hips, pose.

I'm a fan of the isolated shots, where he kinda exudes his larger than life status.

That CR pic definitely is one that defines Superman to me.
