I thought of Ledger when I saw this pic.

Same Here!

It's one of the few pics that make me think Ledger will pull the Joker look off. Love that drawing By the way.

Marshall Rogers and Terry Austin was on there 'A' game back then. and the Laughing Fish is just a classic.

If any artist's take on Batman could translate to cinema, it's Jae Lee's. His lighting and overall atmosphere is what BB felt like it was trying to achieve. This is EXACTLY what I'd want TDK to look like.

Indeed! :)

^^^^ im not too keen on the mask, but i love the rest of the suit, very realistic for nolans films and very sexy too.

While I don't disagree it's still my contention that Bermejo's work on Batman/Deathblow was the definitive of example of how a Batman movie's supposed to look.

OK guys, we know you want to see scenes lifted straight from The Long Halloween and Hush. We get it. How's about posting something that isn't so...obvious?

The first picture is from neither of those books.

Haunted Knight, Long Halloween, Dark Victory - same writer, same artist, same style, essentially the same thing really.

That has to be one of the most stupid things i've ever heard. Yeah your right there all the same book???? just like 'The man who laughs' and 'The killing joke' are the same because the both feature the Joker.

i was watching 'scent of a woman' and 'godfather PT2' the other day, i got cofused though thought they were the same film, what with Al Pacino in both of them.

What are u on.........Seriously, What are u on?

No, you need to grow up and actually pay attention to what I said. I said that Haunted Knight, Long Halloween and Dark Victory are essentially the same thing because they are all written by Jeph Loeb, illustrated by Tim Sale and have a very, very similiar (if not the exact same) style.

So yeah, a more accurate comparison would be like between Godfather 1 and Godfather 2 or Spiderman 1 and Spiderman 2 where if you walked halfway into the films, you could barely even tell them apart.

yes they may look the same but have very diffrent storylines, Have u even read the books? Oh and i think if i waked in to a Spider-man film i'd know which one it is (HINT: the first one has an enemy in a green suit the second the enemy has more than 2 arms plus very diffrent story lines, if you get confused as to which is which then i suggest you grow up. Do you even read comic books?(Apart from Richie Rich) Oh and can u not tell asequel from the original unless it has a '2' at the start, Man are you gonna be confused when Dark Knight Comes out.</p>

This thread is not about storylines, but rather illustrations from the comics. And in that respect, Haunted Knight is very very similiar to The Long Halloween. They pretty much have the exact same artistic style. Not surprising since they are both done by Time Sale.

I meant the overall look of the film and not specifics like characters or storylines.

I believe that is more than obvious from what I have said about the comics in this and earlier posts.

Guess you're pissed at me because I said your website sucked. Such a juvenile reaction, really.

You don't seem to know what you're reading. I've explained exactly what I was talking about but you had to get your panties in a bunch because you thought it meant something else other than what I intended. Not my fault.

oh and i know what this thread is about.......... i created it

Yet given the topic of the thread, couldn't even grasp the simple fact that I was primarily talking about the visual similarities between Long Halloween and Haunted Knight.

Same artist you say, this thread is about the visual, you said it yourself so how is the story line visual until brought to life by an artist, read your Quote you state them both as 'essentially the same thing really' how is that only in reference to the visual? Also earlier you told me to grow up yet you use such terms as'you had to get your panties in a bunch ' Pot, Kettle & Black?

It was primarily in reference to the visuals since I had also said - "same artist, same style" as well. The "same writer" comment was to highlight the continuity between The Long Halloween and Dark Victory and the fact that all three were written by Jeph Loeb.

Also earlier you told me to grow up yet you use such terms as'you had to get your panties in a bunch ' Pot, Kettle & Black?

I used that phrase simply because you were needlessly getting all worked up over something so trivial, not to mention attacking me personally. And if you were offended by such a harmless statement, then perhaps you do need to grow up and get a thicker skin while you're at it. I'm trying my best to stay calm and civil but my patience has a limit.

the-dark-knight, I have no problem with you at all but Fenrir is right, all of us need to stop this stupid bickering on the boards. I think we can have a good debate without name calling, personal attacks and putting down others on the boards. Lets have a discussion not an assault on eachother. Were does it get us? Stay the course

Superman For All Seasons, Daredevil Yellow, The Long Halloween - as far as looks go, essientally the same thing. Tim Sale's artwork normally changes very little - which is a very, very good thing.

Point Fenrir - STORMINNORMAN HAS SPOKEN.

is that what this thread has turned into, who's side are you on, who do you belive is right? nice, real nice.

*sigh* fine - no more discussion about the the-dark-knight v. Fenrir rumble.

I want to see this in The Dark Knight
